I've never been quite that animated... but probably only because I have kids.

I was prob very close to that when RVP got sent off at Nou Camp during the CL game (kids were gone and wife thought I was having some sort of seizure).

Haha, I used to scare my roommate all the time just by yelling and screaming in agony. I didn't ever yell that I would kill a player, though, hahaha.

When Arsenal lost to Liverpool in the Champions League (the Theo Walcott game), I ****ing lost it. I had a job interview right after the game too, I have no idea how I kept my composure during the interview haha. Fun fact, I'm still working at the same place.

Arsene things we're 'perfectly good enough' to win the league. I disagree.

Arsène Wenger has said Arsenal want to show the character of champions this season after their late meltdown last term

Just how bad would it be for us to miss out on the Champions League? If it means winning the league or FA Cup, I'm all for it. Honestly.

I'd rather not participate in the CL and win a trophy than participate in it, just so we can say we've qualified (insert number) years in a row.

I might agree, but I think the money earned from the CL is important to continue to stay competitive. Maybe it's not as much as I think it is though.

Yeah I'm with you. I'm not saying we will win the league this year because I think we are still some way off but I'm very pleased that we missed out on the Europa League. No Thursday night games, replays, etc. We can focus 100% on the league.

Well, with you guys no longer sucking the battle for the top four is going to be crazy this year, as there are five real candidates. Spurs are not, no matter what they think.

I read that they are offering Blackburn Bassong & Robbie Keane for Samba. I wonder if you guys will make a cash and or player offer to thwart Spurs? Still think he is a better and cheaper option than Cahill or Jagielka.

We are just generally not active enough during the transfer market. As you just stated above, Spurs apparently made an offer for Samba, they might not even want him at all, but are looking to make us overspend for him. Arsenal never do anything like that, could we not make a £25M bid for Modric and inflate prices while pressuring two of our largest rivals? Spurs may become more uneasy about Luka wanting out and Chelsea may feel obliged to overpay so that they secure him. If a bid was actually accepted, we wouldn't necessarily have to sign him, but just the offer alone would negatively effect our foes and we don't do anything of the sort. Ever.

I'm upset that we have gone quiet on signing a defender. Vermaelen is great, but treating him like a new player is not smart IMO. We need to take Squillaci out of the equation and sign another CB if we take ourselves seriously as contenders for anything in a much tougher, and more competitive EPL. Looking at how much all of them are going to cost, Mertesacker has been my favorite rumor so far. Either way, I'll root like hell if Squillaci is waddling around out there, I just don't want to think "what if" when the season starts. Anyone else gonna watch the preseason game tomorrow? I watched the first one and I honestly think Vela is the greatest preseason player of all time haha

                        From ESPN transfer blog

                        17.01
Barcelona target Cesc Fabregas has been "kidnapped" by Arsenal, according to a Catalan mayor. "We want him to come right away, he is experiencing a kidnapping," Estanislau Fors i Garcia is quoted as saying in Sport.

He either needs to lower expcetations or actually field a side good enough to win the league. He isn't doing himself any favors saying things like this.

He seems to think us fans still have the utmost confidence in him, and that he can say whatever he wants to placate us and we'll eat it up. But he's not fooling anyone, and all this does is make the fans more and more frustrated. As far as I'm concerned, it's win a trophy this season or Arsene needs to go. And the only way we're winning anything of note is to make some signings. So get to it Arsene or we'll be waving you farewell come next June.

Tied 1-1 with Greentown through the first 45 minutes. Vela scored in the 45th. Arsenal was totally outplayed. Once again Squillacci looks outclassed even against Chinesse clubs. Nasri was probably our most effective player of the half. Everybody else was pretty bad.

Seems that Arsene wants to continue playing with fire by playing way too high a line. We were pierced numerous times thankfully we were playing guys that lacked pace. If we were playing a league opponent we would probably have conceded 3 goals.
