Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***
Seemed like only a matter of time.
The bad thing, this could cut into Nasri's wages! Oh no! Whatever will he do without all that money?!
Oh, he'll just go to City and get £150,000/week.Comment

On the 1AM Sky Sports News, they showed a story that Real Madrid is or maybe getting in the Cesc bidding. Which Cesc doesn't want.'Some people believe football is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed with that attitude. They are probably only doing it to piss Barca off and jack up Arsenal's asking price.Comment

So if Gervinho and some other signings come in, and Nasri still refuses to resign, we'll be able to call him out on his "I just want to win" BS, as then it will truly, indisputably be about money.Comment

Sky Sports is also reporting Abramovich has entered the Nasri bid. This cannot be good for Arsenal. Well, maybe financially.ST. LOUIS RAMS FRANCHISE (MADDEN 2010)

If Arsenal can make a killing off of Cesc and Nasri great. But will Wenger spend on proven talent to replace them?

I think this and the past few transfer windows have proven that we are largely priced out of what you call "proven talent."Arsenal FC

With Real Madrid signing LB Coentrao it appears Arsenal are lining up a bid for Marcelo. Pretty good upgrade to Clichy. A bid of £10m is being tossed around.Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***
I'd like this move as well, although I don't know that it sures up our back line. He seems to be very similar in play style to Clichy, but with maybe not as much commitment to recover. Clichy wasn't close to a wall in defense but he at least worked his *** off to correct his mistakes, I'm not sure Marcelo will be the same way.Comment

Marcelo was very good last season at least on par with Contreao."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. Even if you're giving minimal effort there is no way you can fail."

Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***
Arsenal have turned down Manchester United's opening offer for Samir Nasri and told the champions they will not sell the Frenchman unless they receive a bid of at least £25m
We've told United we'll let Nasri go for £25 million, apparently.
Call me crazy, but say we sell him for that and Cesc for £40 million. If we would actually spend that money, all of it, we'd come out of the Summer in not to bad of shape. The question is, are they both even going and if so, do we even buy players.
Things are starting to get interesting, though. As for United, I'd like to know where they think all of these players will be playing without selling any.Comment
