I'm so scared to see Chamakh start up top. Maybe he can become the player he was at the start of last year.

I have a feeling we'll see a goal from Gervinho as he starts on the left.

You guys do know there gonna pull the same exact thing once or if Ignasi Miquel, Jon Toral, and Hector Bellerin hit there potential!

Hopefully by that time we will actually be winning some silverware and Barcelona isn't the undisputed best team in the world.

Which may happen in Barcelona's case because they said they were going to try and be mindful of the massive debt they've accrued, yet here they are splashing the cash yet again.

                Yeah, thought that was hilarious.

On the one hand, dropping points to Newcastle to begin the season given the matches upcoming is not good. On the other hand, given the way things played out, a draw is actually a decent result, especially away from home.

                We need Wilshere back ASAP.

If I had to judge how our games will go this season based on that, I think we'll be involved in a lot more close games. I don't think we'll win by large margins and our defense might have to keep us in it. In a way, I think we may almost even have a change of attitude. Instead of, score four goals, it'll be let's score one and give up zero.

Only time will tell and our attack could slowly evolve.

After today's fixture, I feel that we'll be grinding out victories. I won't be too surprised to see our goal difference at a max of +15 at the end of the season. With this squad, I predict Szczesny will be Arsenal's footballer of the year LOL

I can only cross my fingers and hope for signings before the transfer window closes. In Arsene I Trust [Yup, I'm still drinking that kool-aid].

Barton put his Hitler hairstyle to use. I applauded him for not doing anything after Song's stupid stamp, but the reaction to Gervinho was just shocking. I still don't know how he got away with a yellow.

                        Beyond shocking.

Good quote from Wenger after the match...

"We do not seek to provoke opponents though, we try to play football. I am concerned that maybe sometimes our players overreact to provocation and that is an area where we must try to improve."

His tackle on Diaby last year was definitely the usual Barton tactic of provoking players but I think today showed just how absolutely insane he is. Obviously, once he was touched on the cheek, he knew what to do. Him telling RVP after it all that he was punched and making a fist was utterly laughable. I literally think he's capable of anything out there.

The home fixture should be interesting later in the season.

I really, really hope Barton doesn't play. I honestly think that in every game Newcastle play, though, as he's the definition of a loose cannon.

There was last year with Diaby and the year before was a great Nasri moment. Barton went in hard on Nasri and later, Nasri simply clipped Barton's heels which sent him to the ground and the referee didn't see it. Absolutely classic.

I was impressed with Gervinho minus the red card. He beats players very well but the end result wasn't their he lacked creativity in the box but he did and great job getting in there. He is still a little green but I think he will have a great second half as long as he keeps improving his game.

Yeah, his end balls weren't there today but he was a constant menace to the Newcastle defense, and I really think his final touches on crosses and passes will be better than they were today. It's only one game, but I think we might have a real player on our hands.
