Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***

Samir Nasri has expressed his anger after some of Arsenal's travelling support at Newcastle subjected him to abuse

Nasri has labeled some Arsenal fans 'disrespectful' for chants directed at him because he's still an Arsenal player.

Ha, by contract? Yes. However, that isn't enough considering you've made it clear you want to leave and mostly for money. Sit back and take what comes with it.

Also, we're appealing Gervinho's ban and I hope that perhaps we can get it down to one game. I'm hoping the FA see's that what he did was basically defending himself, so the red stands but it should be lessened. Barton of course was "punished" with a yellow card. What a joke.

As for Song, there's no way he escapes a three match ban. Bring in Frimpong! Damnit.

Speaking of Frimpong, I never really noticed how jacked he is. He looked like a linebacker when he had to switch shirts.

Did any of you guys catch the chants at St. James' from the Arsenal fans? A few times during the telecast I could hear them chanting 'Spend Some Effing Money!"

I heard just a touch and apparently they were very loud and clear at the actual match, haha.

The only thing with appealing is that you could get the ban extended to a 4th game if they find your appeal to be frivolous.

I don't see how they can call appealing that frivilous. He tapped him with an open hand and Barton acted like he had just been shanked in the face. Under no circumstances should a player make contact to the face, but the red card and 1-match suspension is plenty for what occured here.

Did he realize he's an idiot?

The yellow card and red card were jokes. He was already getting up and Barton plus two others jumped on him like rabid dogs to a piece of meat. Barton should have gotten an automatic red and 3 game suspension. Instead the player who did nothing wrong but defend himself suffers the punishment.

Actually, it was only Barton who grabbed him. Taylor was trying to separate them and if he wasn't there, who knows what would've happened. Honestly, I'd put money on Barton hitting Gervinho if they weren't surrounded so quickly.

I do think Gervinho's ban will be lowered, as it should, but the fact that the rules state that Barton was already booked so no further punishment can be done is ridiculous and another example of the FA needing to sort **** out.

From what I remember it was Barton who grabbed him and picked him up but two others ran and grabbed Gervinho once he was already standing. Either way, I think props should be giving Gervinho for saying as cool as he did.

Nope, Barton grabbed him and Taylor was trying to pull them apart. Well, pull Barton off Gervinho. Everyone was actually just trying to separate and luckily nobody else started in on it.

As for Gervinho, I did see the point made of what was he supposed to do? Stand there and be manhandled like an animal? Big props to him.

Back to Taylor, after the slap, he was motioning to the referee that Gervinho had elbowed him. So, he's still a twat just like Barton.

Its really heartbreaking knowing Cesc will never play for Arsenal again. It feels worst than my dog dying. Its like my dog all of a sudden just left me to become the pet of my next door neighbor, who just so happens to be my mortal enemy.

It is sad to see one of my favorite midfielders leave Arsenal, so so sad I knew it was inevitable but it is still a bummer.
