You mean to tell me were losing our two best players and the best Wenger can do is a guy from the Ukraine named Jadson?

It's sad that the situation was such a mess we all seem to be happy for it simply to be over. But, we've been here before with other Arsenal greats and I hold no grudges against a player for moving on. As Lee Dixon said the other day, the cannon on the front of the shirt is what matters.

Most logical things to do right now is don't spend<O</O

By me saying that is take the criticism and go through the first five months find out the squads strengths and weaknesses and find a regular and permanent formation and once January 2012 and Summer 2012 hits go out shooting and by legit players. We should be able to get the players that we wanted buy either of those two windows!<O</O
        <O</O

But then again we do have a delusional cheapskate for a coach!

By the way the players I would go after with the money that we have and will get would be Hazard, Sakho, and Kara Mbodj (Cut me some slack I like the dude and plus he's putting up numbers in the league in norway)!

It's sad that Barca's disgusting tactics finally worked. It took years, but they knew what they were doing the entire time.

**** them. They don't play beautiful football, because I view everything they do on the pitch, which doesn't land on that conclusion.

Their players on the field act with the same lack of class that their front office does. Plus, because they're such a untouchable club in terms of criticism, they'll come out the winners in this. We'll be the *******s who refused to sell, instead of the club who stood up to a bully and dirty tactics for as long as we could.

I hope the club collapses due to it's growing debt and one day, the Nou Camp is just used for Madrid fans to take a **** in. Hop on the train to Barcelona for a ****? Don't mind if I do.

I really hope it's not just being recycled as we're going to need someone of Mata's quality to replace Cesc.

Also, this better not be true: "Do we want to buy? I don't know because at the moment we have too big a squad, we have too many players." http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11670_7095589,00.html

Hopefully that's just Wenger being discreet and not wanting to reveal anything, because if we don't reinvest, yikes.

We will buy. Will we buy the right players? That all remains to be seen.

However, it's Wenger being Wenger there. Which could also mean he doesn't splash the money that we just made.

Lets just go through a ton of money at Lyon for Gourcuff. I mean, he's French!

I'd also like to point out, regarding Nasri, that originally some in here were saying we should sell him to United for 10 mil because getting that much was better than letting him go for free, so if we get 20+ mil for him from Citeh, I think that's a great piece of business.

Fair point, and I'm in the camp that would rather see £20M+ in the coffers than Nasri in the red & white for one more year. He's obviously not committed to the club for the long haul -- as much as any player these days is -- so regardless of whether that would affect his performance/effort on the pitch, take the money and find someone who will stick around for a few years.

All my swearing is edited, though! Okay, okay, I'll tone it down a notch.

As for Nasri, +£20 million for him is a steal considering he can leave for free in a year. So, we're getting the best out of that as we can. He says he wants to win trophies, but if we never won another trophy and paid him 185,000 a week as City will, he'd gladly stay I'm sure.

Looks like Eboue is going or gone. Shirt #'s announced and he's nowhere.

Hmmm. Bendtner is on there as well, but he seems to be certainly leaving.

I must say, part of me would rather keep Bendtner than Chamakh. I know it sounds crazy, but if Bendtner played with RVP in a 4-4-2, I think we'd see a much better player.

Anyway, Eboue definitely has no place on the team. The only thing I ever enjoyed about him was when I read an article in which he said he'd love to go to Hollywood some day and be "the next Eddie Murphy". Amazing.

I wouldn't sell Bendtner or Chamakh right now, assuming Nicky would change his tune if he got some regular PT as a striker.

I also like the 4-4-2 with RVP as the creator & link man and Bendtner up top, at least until a better poacher is in the squad. Play Arshavin, Walcott, Gervinho, and the youngsters (as needed of course) in the attacking midfield/winger positions. Wilshere and Ramsey are the engine of the midfield.

Song can come on for Bendtner to protect a lead in a 4-5-1, or from play from the start if a more conservative gameplan is appropriate. But I'd stick to the Invincible era 4-4-2 system described above the majority of the time. Too often they can't break down the teams who want to park the bus, so perhaps a more direct approach & personnel would help.

Arsenal is going to have a thin squad against Newcastle. Wilshere and Diaby are definitely out. Van Persie and Gibbs are questionable. Good news is that Vermaelen and Walcott will most likely start. I wouldn't risk playing Van Persie yet or at least starting him. Gibbs will most likely might have to play even though injured as Traore could fill in for him.

When looking at it I am shock Wenger never filled in the position for Clichy, they lack experience in the left back department. The same is with Right back, with Eboue on his way out all they have is Jenkinson and Eastmond. Arsenal seems like they are going to lack depth going into this season already. I hope they can fill out some of the positions needed before transfer window ends.

Also, shame on Wenger for not dealing with this transfer madness at the beginning of the summer. I just hope that these deals don't rattle this young team too much. Other than that I am looking forward to see how this season pans out, I am sure it will be a fight for the top.
