i am actually looking forward to Johan and V5 starting in the middle.
I'm looking for Djourou to head back to the bench for the bulk of the games. He made far too many mistakes last year and should not be a first choice CB right now. Heck of a third, but he's not ready to play in this league.

Decent debut thus far for Gervinho. Two goals in the first 15 minutes.

Nice. I'll have to watch later. Hopefully he's the kind if attacking player we needed last year. Run at defenders and actually go into the box.

Or are his facial features just all positioned too far down on his head?!?

"Barcelona are on the brink of tabling a third bid of £33.5million this weekend to finally end the two-year Cesc Fabregas saga. (Mail)"

It seems Barca still don't grasp the basic values of numbers. The smallest number they must bid is £40, someone should thell them that £33.5 is not a larger sum. Although they may still end the saga by just insulting us and Fabregas to the point where we do not sell him anymore, regardless.

So they're finally going to basically offer again what they did last year? Amazing.

Looks like we'll be seeing Cesc in red this season.

We're close to selling Eboue to Galatasaray for £4 million.

If it goes through, I almost feel sorry for them that we got that much.

I'm sure they're looking forward to seeing him fall down in an attempt to draw a foul in advanced attacking positions because he ran into trouble and had no idea what to do with the ball.

Classic Eboue. I know I'll miss it. That and him confusing the position of RB with RW. I literally think he assumes they're the same thing.

That gives us a potent midfield. Hope he stays healthy.

Somebody tell me this how the hell we lose two players that wanted to play for us (Menez and Matuidi). Not only that still mad at the fact that we failed to sign Ozil (who only costed from 12 to 16 million) last year. Somebody needs to tell Wenger that he can't buy quality young players for cigarettes and a happy meal anymore!!

Ozil only cost that much, but you can guarantee Madrid would've been willing to spend much more if we bid against them. Plus, last year a midfielder was the last thing we needed.
