Sweet. Here's our new transfer saga for the next 5 years.
    Blind to this impending fate
We let the world carry our weight
It's back breaks with every mile
But we all live in denial

Obviously this season hasn't been up to par because they loaned out Carlos Vela. It's clear he was the glue that held this team together

Every player says they want to go there. Not really news.

Although, it'd be nice for our club/manager to have the balls to come out and say "**** off, you dirty ****s" and just be done with it.

What I take more out of that article is SZCZ wanting to be captain and knows he can instruct our team on the field. Glad to see that even while young, he has the confidence to get under his defense and light a fire to remind them that we have to defend for a full 90. Love this kid.

I agree, so long as he knows that RVP is the captain and will be the captain for quite some time (assuming we don't lose RVP). I think SZCZ would make a wonderful captain some day, but he is still quite young and given some of the noise he was making two seasons ago and even last season about how he should be starting (however right he was), let's hope he doesn't continue to bring this up or let it become a distraction.

True, but it was probably more of SZCZ having to watch Almunia and Fabianski in front of him more than it was Bendtner Syndrome. He took his chance and now has run with it, hope fully for what is many more years to come.

I just don't think the formation is as much the cause for our troubles as overall lack of talent. We just aren't very good right now.

ZM's right. Our squad isn't up to par right now. Look at our match on Sunday against Spurs. Comparing the two sides, we were weaker on paper and that's all on Wenger.

I've been a Wenger supporter, but the way we've struggled is all on him. He knew we'd lose Cesc and Nasri and didn't do a damn thing until we got hammered. He passed on Mata and decided not to bid for Parker. Mata would have been great and Parker, while 31, would have given this club some freaking passion and leadership. I'm still choked we didn't even try to get him and look how much better Spurs are with him

We didn't strengthen or add any depth. Ramsey is still trying to find his form while Song is the jack of all trades master of none. Arteta isn't Cesc and Walcott is inconsistent.

Rosicky is a reserve player, Djourou isn't good enough, and Mertesacker has been bad. RvP is frustrated and SCZ is still a little raw.

Arshavin should GTFO because he's a disgrace. Yes, I'm done my rant now. We are in a lot of trouble and unless things drastically change in January, it's going to get worse before it gets better. However, I'm still a Gooner and will stick with our lads until the end

Thoughts on Ramsey's spout about Arsenal's position being unacceptable??

I thought AR's performance against Spur's was unacceptable... his goal, while welcome, was his only bright spot in the derby Sunday. He connected as many passes to Spur's players as he did Gunner's. His form was really suspect to me. Just think he should have NOT commented on the teams position, no matter how true it may be. We need Jack back, and quick.

Lets not forget that he's not ready for the position he's been put in. If he hadn't spent an entire year out, I think we'd be seeing a different player right now. He hasn't played well, but I think we could be asking a bit much of him. at this point.

Someone like Walcott needs to step up. When we went down last week, it was immediately mentioned that sometimes when we go down, he goes into a shell and he did. Nobody else on this team disappears like he does.

I understand the position he has been put in, by multiple factors no less, but I just think he maybe should have not said anything. That's just me. I'm not against Ramsey being in the starting XI, and in fact am a fan of his... I couldn't agree more about Walcott as well, it's hard to remember he was even on the field at several points in that game. I want him (Walcott) to play to his potential so bad, but feel that he just doesn't have it. When we really need him, he's MIA.

i was posting as I was curious as to people's reaction to Ramsey stating the obvious after he had a less than stellar showing. That's all.

I haven't thought Ramsey has looked great either, but the stats show that Ramsey has created more scoring chances than anyone else on this team, so maybe he's been playing better than we all think.

Well, never mind... my OP was what you thought of him verbally saying something about the Gunners position in the table and how unacceptable it was.

guess you guys missed that part. I did put in that his play against Spurs was less than stellar... but that's it, just that game and only mentioned it because he said this after the derby game. I never said that he was terrible or anything... I like Ramsey, and think he will be a really good player given time and players around him. Somehow a couple of you took that I didn't think Ramsey was a good player or something.

Like I put in my last post...

I read what you said, but I'd rather have him working his *** off and having a few bad games and still being critical of the team than just going into a shell or giving cliche interviews that make it seem as if he's not really bothered by our current form.

If it was Arshavin saying the things he said, it would be different. I think it's important to note what player said those things. He hasn't been perfect, but he's busting his *** out there.

I like what Ramsey said - he's showing that he cares for this club which is more than I can say about some of the other players. He's not been himself, but I agree that if AW had not sat on his bum all summer, he wouldn't have been put in the position to be Cesc right away

This club needs leadership right now to get back into the hunt. RvP is great, but he's not the captain we need. We need someone to light the fire under some of our players like Walcott and Arshavin.
