Van Persie has too much of the burden right now, and one wonders if he will hold up full form.Comment

We all know that is a lie, but Wenger spending in January is just not likely.Comment

The chances of Wenger spending that kind of money in January are very, very slim. Plus, he believes in his players to a fault. At least in public. In RVP were to go down, Wenger would say Chamakh could come in and we'd be fine.

As for Podolski, I'd love him, but I don't know if Köln want to sell damn near the only person who contributes to goals. He'd be great because he can play out on the left while Gervinho is at the ACN.
Wenger has taught all of us Gooners to be skeptical when discussing such purchases. Especially in January.
I'd take Podolski in an instant. He's built for the EPL.Comment

No way we can afford Pato. Milan will want way more than he's worth and lightyears more than we are willing to pay."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. Even if you're giving minimal effort there is no way you can fail."

I don't want Pato at all. Sell Arshavin and get Gotze and Podolski.
I wish transfers were like FIFA '12.Blind to this impending fate

But seriously, what frustrates me is he'll end up going somewhere like Madrid and hardly be used.
I honestly want to see him stay at Dortmund, but they won't turn down the cash they'll get for him. As I said, I'd love Podolski. Scores and is strong and has the right mentality unlike someone such as Chamakh.Comment

My reaction was priceless. My old roommate used to laugh at me watching games due to my screaming the entire time. For that goal, it happened so suddenly and so unexpectedly and yelled 'holy ****' so loud as I was truly in shock.
An absolutely brilliant goal.
As for all the blown chances in the first half, not sure what to blame. The one where Walcott passed into RVP and Gervinho was just great defending. Walcott couldn't score from that angle and I like when he passes it in like that.
Everton were just hard to break down. Plus, bringing Saha off showed just how happy they were to defend for hours as long as it stayed 0-0.Comment

Also, I loved Henry's reaction to RVP's goal. Priceless.Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***
Our defense is definitely in better shape now than before when we've been low on center backs. At least we have a few very versatile ones that fan fill in at left back.
I'm guessing that Santos will be back for the Man City game. Speaking of that game, I'm saying it now that I think we really have the chance to turn some heads. A win is a serious possibility. Yes, really.Comment
