I think he'll get some starts once Gervinho is out of the side.

Also, did Cameroon qualify? Because losing Song as well is just devastating. We should've signed Scott Parker. Ha.

      Cameroon did not qualify.

We lose only Gervinho and Chamakh.

In fairness the ACN could be good for Chamakh so only really Gervinho is a miss.

I agree on Chamakh, save the fact that we're so thin at the position already....hopefully a signing (even if they're just for depth) comes in.

Why would they want to pay for the Wayne Bridge to Nowhere.

            1. LOL.
            2. Yeah, I don't see this being anymore than another cooked up stupid rumor to drive website hits. I'd rather have TVM5 play out of position than put Bridge at LB.

Arsène Wenger has admitted he will need to bring in a left-back on loan next month, and won't rule out a shock Emirates return for Thierry Henry

It's looking more and more likely that we'll get a left back on loan. I mean, we have to. Luckily, Sagna should be back in January.

Also, Wenger will not rule out the return of Henry. I say do it.

Can we make Walcott let Henry wear his jerseys during games so he can be #14?

The Henry return is picking up some serious steam.

I'm all for it. It's more than nostalgia. He can fit into the side and it's not like he'll be used a ton, so his age shouldn't be an issue. I'd much rather see us do something big like sign Podolski, but that isn't happening.

                    ---

Actually, the Podolski rumors are increasing as well. It would be a fantastic signing for two reasons. One, he provides cover on the left and up top. Which of course means that upon Gervinho's return, he could pay on the right if needed.

Second, if RVP doesn't resign, we at least have a striker.

Sky Sports is now saying that a 2-month loan for Henry will be done in next 48 hours. My question is, how will Wenger use him? Obviously, he can play off the bench at striker, but could he see time on the wing?

I think he'd be used as a striker only. He'd come off the bench if we needed a goal and would start for RVP when he needed rest. But Wenger has too much of an irrational love for Arshavin for Henry to come in over him on the wing.

I honestly think Arshavin will be gone by the end of January.

Agreed. I think he's on his way out.

I think Henry will be used in both roles, but I don't think we'd see him start until a few weeks in.
