Guys, if we can't defend with 4 CB's we are in some trouble. Will be interesting to see how this 4 CB look will do when we face Man City who will press a lot higher up the pitch than Everton did."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. I don't know if I want Santos to return or not. He's a defensive liability, but so is Djourou on the right.Comment

Doesn't seem to be a problem now. Also, are you sure we'll be battling with Chelsea and not Spurs?Comment

I honestly think at this moment in time I think Spurs are better than Chelsea. Will see if that's still the case come January. We will more likely than not be battling with those two and Liverpool for two spots in the top 4."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. Santos will be out for three months. Damn. Hopefully Gibbs is a few weeks away from returning. A loan in January would be nice, though.

Okay, I'm not saying we'll buy in January but I will say that there is a better chance than ever before.
Arsène Wenger has said he could bring in a striker as back-up to Robin van Persie when the transfer window opens
My reasoning is that Chamakh is most likely leaving in the Summer and this is the perfect time to buy someone to come in and cover for RVP. Chamakh would return from the ACN and essentially be unused. For as cheap as Park was, he was always going to be a project so I don't think this would hurt his growth at all.
I don't think we'll sign someone too expensive, but I truly believe if we can get a club to sell someone because they want the cash, we'll do it. I still think it's a small chance, but much bigger than before when I truly looked at why it makes sense.Comment

As for buying a striker, I fully expect Wenger to espouse Park's ability and declare the team fine in that area. I would love for us to buy one, but I don't see it happening. Maybe Park can get injured and come back in January, and then Wenger can tell us it was like a new signing.Comment

A loan in January is vital. I thought TVM5 played well at left back for someone who isn't a left back, but I don't want to risk having to play him there against better teams. Especially if Gibbs isn't fully fit in January. And even if Gibbs is fit, we need more than one healthy left back.

Nothing makes me believe we will buy in January, same ole song and dance as always this time a year."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. Even if you're giving minimal effort there is no way you can fail."

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see, once Jack is up to speed, whether Wenger makes any changes to our starting 3 or uses Wilshere as a sub/fill-starter for injuries and guys who need rest. Our midfield trio is playing so well right now, I'm not sure I'd want to mess with that, so I'd go with the latter option.Comment
