Yeah, and Arsenal don't like to shell out fortunes to players. Hazard is the much more likely of the two, but I can't imagine Lille would want to sell him. Hazard is of the caliber of AM we need, though, so hopefully someone of his quality becomes available at a lowered price.Comment

Hazard will leave, but it'll be to a club who will drop a giant pile of cash on the doorstep of Lille.
The possible signing of Podolski is the kind of signings we'll still make, and they're smart signings. We can still go after players that need to be sold. While Köln are nothing without Podolski, they'll also gladly take the money at this point.
Dortmund do not need to sell Götze, as they have their own youth system now going as they slowly end their debt and Lille don't need to sell Hazard, but they gladly will when someone throws Monopoly money at them.Comment

I think its a foregone conclusion that Hazard moves on in the summer. Only question is where.
I think its time for Arsenal to make a move for a player of his caliber. I think if we could grab him and Poldolski we would have a legitimate chance to win the league next year. I don't think Podolski alone will be enough. With as much money that is flowing around English football at the moment a club like Arsenal that doesn't have the kind of cash to throw around every year has a small window to seriously compete for a title in todays football. I think next year is that year to shoot for a championship and it could very well happen next with the addition of those two players.
With RVP and Theo in the last year of their contracts this could be our last season to be able to seriously mount a title threat for the next for a next few years.
