Arsenal have just confirmed it -
Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
It's a BIG loss losing that much firepower but getting back 24 million for a 29 year old is pretty darn good. This was the first year he played the whole season without being injured isn't it? Let's see if he can continue being injury free for United's sake. They better wrap him in cotton wool.Comment

RVP has left the building! Hopefully we get to keep Song, but that seems unlikely right now. Hopefully we get suitable replacements; maybe M'villa (looks like he is going to spurs though) and another striker for depth more than talent maybe?Comment

Gotta say, I think it's a good deal for both sides. For Arsenal, £24m is a lot for someone in RVP's situation, and he was a great talisman, but he has shown himself to be hotheaded before, and perhaps not great captain material.
And for Man Utd, Im not sure how he'll fit in with Rooney, Welbeck and Kagawa heading the plethora of the attacking talent they have. But if they can fit him in, he'll get ample service which obviously means goals.Comment

Great deal for Arsenal, stupid deal for Man U.
Why pay so much for an old injury prone striker?
For a few more mil, could get Modric instead.
Man U needed Modric more than RVP.
Ferguson needs to retire, old man is getting senile.Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
Welp RVP gone I really don't care he is gone just sad he went to Man Utd. but whatever. I just hope for Man Utd. sake it pays off for them because they are giving him a huge amount of wages (matching Rooney). He really has to put in the same performance he did for when he was at Arsenal last year, I really can't see fans accepting less.
Also this sale probably means Chamakh will most likely stay.Last edited by RoyceDa59; 08-15-2012, 06:39 PM.Comment
