Aside from some blown chances on goal, that was one of Nick's finer games. He made some very good runs and released Nasri and Sagna on quite a few occasions. Not to mention his release of RVP for the last Gunner goal. I think just about everyone played pretty well today aside from Alex Song and even he didn't play as crappy as usual. Aside from that giveaway at midfield that led to the Bothroyd shot on goal.

What can you say about Eduardo. I just about jumped out of my seat on his last shot. I thought he had the hat trick. No doubt he was the MOTM.

Is it gay that I got teary-eyed when Eduardo scored his first goal?

      I'm so glad he's back.

Yeah, he was clearly MOTM. As ecstatic as I am about the game, they should have beaten Cardiff in the first place, and that is the type of domination a club like Arsenal should show.

Eduardo proved he's ready to be with the first team, and though the announcers said the injury must be weighing on him, he showed no signs of it. If he can play like this, then maybe Ade's slump won't matter that much.

Are we ever going to score another goal in the EPL?

That was a classic display of how not to finish put on by the Gunners today.

These nil-nil games are killing me. At least Arshavin looked good.

these games are always the same unless you score early its a real struggle to break them down

Can someone explain to me why exactly Toure got a yellow card? Was it because he ran out on the pitch after the ref had started the half?

This team cannot finish. One goal out of all those chances and it was a PK. Eboue looked the best he's been all season, but still missed an extremely easy chance. As did Bendtner, on about four occasions.

The second leg should have been a cakewalk game, but now I'm nervous heading in.

I'm not too scared about the Roma leg to be honest, we can advance with a draw or a 1 goal loss.

As long as Bendtner doesn't ****ing start.

Yep, 1-0 is very favorable result all things considered. Arsenal can go through with a 0-0 draw (or any other type of draw obviously) and if they score even one in Rome, Roma would have to put a minimum of three goals on the board to advance. The clean sheet was the key...

Kolo got book for enturing the field of play without the ref's permission. just so you know ref's are expected to start the games within 30 seconds of each other all around europe unless disaster strikes or its russia

solid game from Denilson and Diaby some misplaced passes but not too many we did nt get ripped open late in the game which is the usual modus operandi. terrible decision by the ref on the penalty, firstly its the barest of touches and RVP dived second once he's given the penalty then the defender has to go either a straight red or at least a second yellow. Also dont know how De Rossie stayed on the pitch after leaping 3 ft in the air to sythe down Nasri

Most peolpe figured it would be a 0-0 draw so im happy with the result and the fact they created chances

id still shoot Eboue and sell his corpse to a glue factory but i guess thats just me. Man of the match id give it too Denilson rarly gave the ball away won 4 or 5 excellent tackles to start a couple of breaks only got knocked off the ball once and played the whole 90 mins again

Thanks for clearing the Toure thing up. That's what I thought it was for, and it's a good thing Gallas held back.

just been listening to Ian Wright on Talk sport

                            and I quote

Gallas was receiving treatment and got a cramp as the team was going back on the pitch so he was late as the Physio worked the cramp out

and can you believe it Kolo has to be the last man on the pitch at half time, he's done this since he was a kid and he waited for Gallas to be ready as soon as gallas touched the white line kolo sprinted on and then got booked for not waiting for the ref to wave him on

                            lol

                                He's not Arsenal quality, period.

I like his belief in himself (the whole "I should start every match" stuff) because that's important in a football player. Unfortunately, he's not very good and his cockiness doesn't translate on the field (where as Cristiano Ronaldo's does).
