Quality goal from Asharvin I may be willing to admit i was wrong I thought he was a one tournement wonder but is touch is outstanding.(a'la Karol Poborsky)

Dont be too hard on Bendtner he's in and out of the squad and does nt get a run of games plus his confidence is really low - i would nt sell him because he gives us something different off the bench and his positional play was outstanding. Starting to like what i see every game from Dennilson Diaby and Song they always seem a little bit better every game

Bendtner has got to start finishing on his chances though. That is going to comeback and cost us a game before this season is over. I agree with you on the Center Midfielders. They're starting to really come into their own recently.

Bendtner has great positioning, but you're right in that he can't finish. And this is something that has plagued him his entire career at Arsenal, and unless he improves quickly, I would agree they may have to sell him. I still think he has potential, but at a certain point potential isn't enough.

Wow. I never thought there would be enough football activity on here to get a decent thread going, especially one about Arsenal. Things are looking better for them now that Aston Villa has begun to get back down to earth and Arsenal will be getting some players back from injury. At this point a top 4 is pretty much all I'm hoping for. I hope they get a good draw in Champions League even though there are no easy teams left , but one can still hope for Porto or Villareal and of course they had to draw Chelsea in the FA Cup. I'm hopeful they can win at least one trophy this year and stay in the top 4. Their youngsters though look spectacular and if they develop Arsenal will be a good team now and great in the future. I hate to say this but Manchester United are just too good right now to compete with and I'm wary of Manchester City in a few years time. All the other teams have too much money to spend and while that doesn't guarantee everything it certainly helps as seen with Chelsea.
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.

good point but i also remmber that Thierry Henry went 11 games without a goal when Wenger played him upfront at the age of 22 and in his first season at Arsenal

Now Bendtner has been there longer sure
he's always been a striker so he has nt had to learn a new position like TH did but people were baying for Henry' Blood when he first started accussing Wenger of being an idiot for letting Anelka go and then to be replaced by a winger!!!!!

all im saying is Bendtner scores 1 goal every 3 games for Denmark ( a fantastic record) he's very young and low on confidence and He's our 4th choice striker!!!!- name Man Utd or Chelsea or Liverpools 4th Striker

lets cut him some slack, though if he misses a hatfull of chances tonight I will be cursing his name lol

Yeah, we've had a great thread all season.

The problem with the Arsenal youth approach is that it only works out if you can keep your players, and in recent years Arsene has had trouble doing it. If it gets to the point where guys like Cesc and Walcott are asking out, then I think Arsenal need to rethink their minimum spending policy.

But for now, I'm content to roll with the youth. Provided, of course, that they stay.

Apparently things got very ugly on the pitch and in the tunnel after the game. Allegedly Cesc spat at Hull City assistant Brian Horton.

Big win against Newcastle. It's great to see the team actually scoring again and not drawing nil-nil every game. It's also great to see Bendtner actually finish on a header.

My, my, alone in fourth. Given their recent form, it seems like a bad time for an international break. Although it does give Cesc, Eduardo, Adebayor and now Theo (again, knee this time) extra time to recover for the season's final push. They'll have a busy final month or two as long as they stay in the cups and their league schedule still has ManU, Liverpool & Chelsea on the docket. Should be fun...

I honestly did not expect to be this excited come final push time back when they were in their string of nil-nil draws, but I can't wait to see some of these can't-miss games.
