Even when healthy, Almunia is hardly anything to write home about. Fabianski was just pathetic. I'm incredibly frustrated with this today- we need somebody like Cech eventually.
    Cech's been a disaster since Euro 2008.

I still want us to go out and buy Guillermo Ochoa.

True, mentally he's been off but he's still got immense talent. His play (like the whole Czech team) was embarrassing in Euro 2008.

Still, I think its clear we need a significant upgrade. The fact that Arsenal was able to do so much with Jens Lehmann was miraculous.

            LOL, just a little ribbing.

Yeah, Cech is bad now and Acid, he's been iffy since his whack in the head. I'd rather have a less talented keeper with confidence than one that is shaky mentally with good talent.

What was going through Fabianski's mind on the Drogba play. There was absolutely no way he had a chance to get to that ball. Also lost in the fact was Silvestre got absolutely abused by Drogba on that play as well. The guy is done.

Looks likely that Senderos' loan will not be extended and that he will be back at Arsenal next year. So thats a plus. As he has been playing pretty well at Milan recently after a shaky first half of the season.

I loved the performances from Arshavin, Nasri, and Bendtner tonight. I give Bendtner a lot of ****, but he actually did play well tonight as the target man. Arshavin's just a god and I might have to name my first son Andrei.

Fabianski had an absolutely dynamite first half, and I thought he actually had a solid game..the defense around him sucked balls though and it was unfortunate that he gave up 4 goals.

I think it's time to sit Denilson for a few games, he's been bloody awful. Stick with Song as a solo defensive midfielder.

Getting Arshavin is a move that will pay of for many, many years. I don't think we'll even hear transfer talk out of him, he seems to be having a blast with Arsenal.

Too bad Liverpool equalized in injury time, but oh well. Crazy game. I'll take a draw at Anfield. With a few more pickups and continued development of this team, Arsenal can be really dangerous next year. This is as upbeat as I've felt about the team as I've been since maybe late 03 after the undefeated run (that was a great time to be in London!).

Anyway, I'm pretty pumped up for the end of the month.

                          excellent view
yep the entire back 4 was terrible
sag ws responsible for 1 goal and helped in 1 other
                          Kolo looked hesitant and indicisive
Silvtre actually got better as the game went on and you can't blame him for torres goal that was sublime
Gibbs is still learning so fair enough

lover the two ranged shots little to no back lift very very similar to Dennis in the way he hits a ball and loved his interview after the game

I was so mad after the FA Cup game last weekend, but was satisfied with Tuesday's result even though the back 4 was terrible and Liverpool controlled the 1st half. Arshavin proved how good he can be and while I wasn't the biggest fan of his coming here, I'm glad he's in an Arsenal shirt. Even more so now since Rosicky is not coming back at all this season.

I've watched all the games and this season for me was one where the team played badly to start off and when things were in the midst of getting better, injuries hit the team hard.

Having said that, I am happy that Arsenal are in the semi-finals of the CL even though the draw was friendly. I hope they beat Unitd, but it will be tough

I think next season, this team can win trophies with another defender and keeper.

I'm hoping that Wenger will go out and get us a good CB and GK, but if he doesn't I think I will be alright with it. Unless of course we lose somebody this Summer.

With Senderos supposedly returning next season. That gives us 4 serviceable CB's. If Gallas leaves then the position has to become a must this Summer. As Silvestre just can't play up to the level demanded at a club like Arsenal.

Senderos has been on great form the last part of the season at Milan, so hopefully he has finally turned into the kind of big time CB us Arsenal fans have always thought he could be.

As with the GK position. It could definitely be upgraded but if Alumina could ever learn to defend set pieces I think he will be alright.
