I know Toure and Gallas have really been in great form recently but Djourou won't be bad, he is a pretty sound replacement, but I'm sure going to miss Gallas' eye for goal especially since Arsenal still gotta play Liverpool, Man U, and Chelsea. Gallas usually shows up big in important games and it is going be a shame not to see him have an impact in these games.

Is anyone else terrified of the back line we currently have to trot out?

I think the few people I have heard saying that Gibbs is ready to be the LB and that we should sale Clichy. Have finally realized what were to happen if their wishes came true. Gibbs got absolutely worked out there Saturday and was caught out of position several times. And what can you even say about Silvestre. The guy is done. How many times did he let balls he should have headed out hit the ground. Thats basic defense 101.

Yeah, that was terrible. On the plus side, the offense in the second half looked outstanding. Arshavin's pass while down on the ground was pure class.

          Arshavin's a ****ing beast.

          It's a shame he's cup-tied.

I'm surprised Gibbs wasn't red carded on that takedown last week.

Yeah, I was surprised too. The ref made up for it in the second half with another non-red, but Gibbs has to be more disciplined. Actually, just plain better. He looked downright dreadful.

lol yea but then being only 14 years old and getting thrown in without much notice does send to shake up the kids- give him time

More concerned with Silvestre who looked 2 years past his sell by date- note to wenger Anytime Fergy is willing to let a player leave its because he isnt good enough anymore

Yeah, he definitely should have went. If I was a Wigan fan, I would be all kinds of pissed off.

I think we all believe that Gibbs could turn into a great LB. I just don't think he is ready for a starting role just yet. But really we had no other options, so I digress.

I just hope those that I have seen on various message boards that think Gibbs is ready right now and that we should sell Clichy this Summer; have seen that Keiran just isn't ready for the big stage at this point of his career. Playing in the Carling and FA Cup is a whole different animal than the Premier and Champions League.

I agree wholeheartedly. Gibbs could be great, but he just isn't ready, and Clichy is so valuable, not just defensibly, but also offensively. Gibbs does have the ability to attack, but I think he needs at least another year, maybe more.

                        WALCOTT!!!!

                        What a chip!

The passing has been phenomenal so far.

I just hope the defense holds up.

1-0 at the half, although Arsenal should have had more.

While the defense has looked spotty at times, they've held up a lot better than I expected, and way better than against Wigan, so hopefully that continues.

Either way, 1-nil is a great score, and Walcott has looked phenomenal.

                            What a pass by Cesc!

They are dominating but everytime Vill are pushing I get extremely nervous. No lead is safe this season.

Well, that's probably the game. I didn't think that was a PK, but you can't talk yourself into a red card. 10 men and three goals would be a historic comeback, though.
