I'll agree Arsenal looked sloppy, but I don't think they were unmotivated. The great thing about this win for me is that it shows the team can win ugly. That even on nights/days where their best performance isn't there, they still have the quality to score and outmatch their opponents. Granted, it was a poor Stoke side, but a contender needs to be able to win on those occasions when they aren't at their best. It's too early to call Arsenal a contender, but this was at least an encouraging sign.

I'm at least a bit more confident that we'll be in the fight for 4th.

It doesn't matter whether or not this is true, because just the fact that it actually could be true is why I'm glad Flamini is back at the club and on the field. We've missed this type of presence in this team for far too long.

Not to mention, Jack gets the **** beat out of him pretty much every game. The commentator yesterday made a point to say about 4-5 times a game he's on the ground holding some part of his body. He seemed to be alluding to that it was him just being weak, when in reality it's because he's constantly hammered.

Walcott has been ruled out of England's 2 Qualifiers and at least the next 4 Arsenal games. He is to have abdominal surgery.

One area that has lack of depth. I can see Ryo and Gnabry getting a run in.

Tomorrow's match is not televised anywhere in the US, since Bein has the rights and is airing Man Utd. vs. Liverpool instead.

Arsenal player will have live audio, and will have the video of all 90 minutes on tape delay Thursday.

I feel confident knowing The Greatest Striker That Ever Lived is in the lineup.

We're fielding a strong defensive side, so that should keep us competitive even if the offense lags, and I think we've got enough quality in the side to get a W. It would be nice to see Ramsey or Giroud on the bench in case for some reason we fall behind late, but at least by not including them they're guaranteed a much needed rest.

That's the beauty of being 7 deep at the back. We have loads of options back there. Giroud, Ozil, Wilshere and Ramsey will not and should play until the quarters at the earliest unless we get a City, United or Chelsea draw

Good win on penalties. Good to see the young guys come through. Tough draw with Chelsea next.

I read that Bendtner played fairly well. I hope he realizes that even though we don't want him, and he wants to leave, this is his chance to play his *** off and possibly get a move to a better side.

Until he rejects that better side because they won't meet his wage demands.

Yea he fed a nice through ball that allowed Eisfield to slot home the opening goal. Nice piece of work by him. We'll see about him. You never know what you are gonna get from him some nights .
