So, Sky is reporting we've accepted a £3m offer from Hull for Jenkinson.

I really don't want to see him go. He loves the club so much. Damn.

To me, it's fairly clear that the money just wasn't there to be spent. Not that Arsene refused, and was being handed a "warchest" each Summer, only not spend it.

The stadium did it, as well as the initial stadium deal. However, as we've heard for years, after that rough patch we'd be able to compete at a higher level due to the increased revenue the stadium would bring.

Obviously, we must now win, but at least now we have the resources to win.
Honestly it is impressive when you think about what Wenger has done without spending. Now that he can spend, I wonder how fast the gap between Chelsea and City will close.

Some had reported Gnabry and Jenks would go on loan to Soton as part of the deal. I like that option better.

I want to hope we are still in for a splashy DM signing or even another striker, but my gut says Arsene has finished his business.

Reports are stating we're in for Douglas Costa who'd cost us £16m. It's like Arsene has discovered the financial takeover trait in FIFA and is now running wild. If we get Costa I assume Wenger will go for this frontline:

          Sanchez
          Costa - Özil - Walcott

With Sanchez as CF. We certainly won't lack pace like that. The only thing we still need is a top DM and maybe another CB.

But we don't need another winger, even if Sanchez is seen as a CF. Costa is a great player, but I would rather the money be spent on a DM, or natural striker. Unless Wenger is planning on selling someone like Cazorla, but I doubt it.

I'm saying I'll gladly take him if we sign a top DM. I can't see us signing a top striker anymore. I mean, who's available? Balotelli is a risk. Cavani is too expensive. With Morata gone Benzema is the only CF Real Madrid's got, even if they sign Falcao I can't see them selling Benzema.

Really, Metro and others said that we rejected that offer and want around 5 million pounds for him. Plus I think he wants to go to West Ham if he has to go. Besides I'm holding out hope he just goes on loan so he can potentially come back.

So I guess we can retire this gem from last year. Ahhh its so nice to look back and laugh, cause damn it wasn't funny last summer.

I still think we sign a DM in this window. I know there was talks about Wenger thinking Jack could fill the role, but I still think we drop around £20m on a proper DM.

                    Or maybe I'm just hoping.

I agree we need it, but it's starting to feel a little less likely given all the other moves.

My latest theory is tactical changes that eliminate the single holding player, for better or worse.

Looks like we're turning down buy offers, and only looking at loan offers for Jenko. So that's nice.

There are rumors that we still have one more "big signing", and I just have this feeling it'll be a DM.

If Arsene can keep the team in 4th with spending little, it will be exciting to see what he can do with a proper transfer budget.

If that is the case then it looks like Wenger intends to make Chambers a CB or a midfielder, time will tell.

I'm with you Krebstar , I think we've got one more big signing. CB and a loan for a 3rd GK are a given. It'll either be a DM or Striker but not both. Considering all the names that get us excited at striker are comfy at their current homes or probably going to cost way too much, means I think it'll be a DM. I'm even hearing we may be looking at Hector Herrera along with a ton of other guys.

I hope it's Khedira in the end though, he's experienced, has lethal passing ability and is old enough (28 this season I believe) so if we really fancy Wilshere at DM, he'll get his shot soon at it.

Honestly, other than at CB and DM, where are we seriously thin?? Plus with these new Physios we brought in, they might be our best signings if they keep Rambo, Ozil, Sanchez and Theo on the pitch.

honestly, I am starting to feel the same way.

I think it can work as long as the players understand they have to hustle and get back on D when they turn it over. Some of those losses going down the stretch were so ugly because of lack of effort.
