Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
I'm really curious what makes you think Chelsea, Everton and Liverpool are better than Leicester this season? You've come to this conclusion based on what performances? The Chelsea-Bournemouth humiliation? The Newcastle-Liverpool total domination? Or do I need to go more matches behind?
I'm not saying Leicester will win all these clashes but some of you guys think that the budgets play football and not the players.
2 weeks before there were several posts saying "Leicester will start collapsing in December starting with the match VS ManU". In fact Leicester did lose 2 valuable points against LVG's boring team.
Imo the better teams out there are Arsenal (without the injuries armageddon) and ManCity. That's why I expect a top 3 or at least a top 5 position for Leicester this season.
Did I say those sides are "better" or in better current form? No, I don't believe that I did. I'm pointing out that the current stretch, that started with Man United will be the toughest test they have faced, and they started that test with a draw.
Will Leicester lose all of those matches? No. But they'll surely drop points where others will pick them up, and they will not be at the top of the table after those games.
Now, back to Arsenal we go.Comment

I do think a team like Chelsea who are more pragmatic than say Everton or Arsenal will be more challenging in the sense that they will stifle Leicester or, park the bus.
I see the Everton match being entertaining and more open and with Liverpool, who know.
Anyhow, I just hope Ramsey seizes his opportunity to be the main guy in the centre of our midfield. I've always been a Ramsey fan since he was signed and really want him to do well. With Santi being out for pretty much the rest of the season and being 30 years old, Rambo can really put a stamp on the positionComment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
Yeah, this truly is Rambo's time to shine. Him and Ozil together in the center should be fun. Both of them in 2013-2014 really had some ridiculous displays and they will link up well together. Ramsey is gonna have to help out and help shield the back 4 though. Can't trust Flamini for 3 months staying in position. Plus he is a walking yellow card waiting to happen.
Also Jack coming back before New Year's relieves some of the pressure on the injury crisis. The wild card is how bad Alexis' hamstring injury is. Honestly, I'd rather him sit until New Years and have him ready to go for the 2nd half of the Year. He really needs a long break. I think we can hold our own against City and at Southampton is only other tough fixture between now and the middle of January when we go to Anfield. Just sucks we didn't handle business, versus Spurs at Norwich and at West Brom. We'd have a nice cushion at the top otherwise.Last edited by cdawg44; 12-08-2015, 10:04 AM."If you have a linebacker on him, you might as well start singing their fight song." -- WSU coach Bill Doba on Reggie Bush

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
Hopefully, Wenger will sign a proper ball winning midfielder in the window. Even with all the midfielders fit, none of them offer the defense like Coquelin does. Wilshere might but again, he's an injury risk.
to break it down:
Ramsey
Coquelin
Cazorla
Flamini
Arteta
Wilshere
These are our centre mids without injuries. Flamini is too slow, Arteta can't play that way. Cazorla and Ramsey are the offense oriented mids and Wilshere is somewhere in between. Thus, you have Coquelin as the only ball winner we have.Comment

Can't wait for Arsenal to advance in the CL tomorrow while United are in the Europa league. Ya know, after all the fuss about Arsenal not advancing.
Okay, now I just have to not regret typing that message...Comment

Dude....why'd you have to jinx us? I've ordered a CL Ramsey jersey so I'd like to make sure it stays relevant past tomorrow lolComment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
Half a decent season in their entire history and Leicester fans are turning into the same annoyance United fans have been for the last 20 years.
I can't wait for their one good player to leave them so they can go back to relegation fodder where they should be.
But enough of that, Campbell for the second goal was filthy, deserves all the credit. Looking comfortable, hope they hang on.Comment
