Just heard that on Arsecast Extra...damn.

Well, as long as we keep everyone else healthy and he gets fully fit, awesome.

Who would have thought at the beginning of the season that a squad with Flamini and Campbell in it and no Alexis could beat Man City? The fact that we're in no rush to bring Alexis back speaks volumes of the depth we have right now. I would still like to see a DM come in in January, though.

With how well Campbell is playing I see no spot for Welbeck or Jack right now and when Alexis comes back, Walcott may be on the pine too.

Man I need to make sure that I say that Flamini was awesome Monday night. He stayed in position and didn't wander on the pitch and even jumped on Rambo when he was bursting forward into the attack. Rambo has to sit deep to help Flamini out so he isn't exposed by quicker midfielders. Man I could care less who we bring in, even if it's on loan, gotta get help at DM. Arteta physically give us 60 minutes of football without pulling something. Bender is cup-tied but who cares, we probably ain't beating Barca over two legs anyway.

Still with all these injuries the past months the team has been great. That's why Wenger is a superb manager and coach.

I have a feeling we could see Giroud and Theo share time up top depending on the opposition.

The biggest thing I've thought about after Mourinho being out at Chelsea and LVG inevitably out at United really is how happy I am that our club has Arsene. The consistency he's brought to the club is something that can never be taken for granted.

Would it be nice to win more trophies? Sure it would, but I love going into each match day knowing who our manager is, knowing he'll be there for the next game, and knowing he'll be there for the one after that as well.

I still think those were some great runs by Rambo even though they didn't result in a goal. I like that when up 2-0 they were going for the kill by counter attacking then just sitting deep and hoping they wouldn't concede any goals.

Rambo is always gonna be a runner, which is why we need another DM. As hard working as Flamini is, we lose too much pace with him especially with Ramsey who doesn't sit deep as often these days. It sounds like Wenger knows this too and hopefully, we will land that player. I think Wilshere could do a job there, but with his injury history, I'm not putting all my eggs in one basket.

With regard to Wenger, I agree. I myself have been guilty at times of harping on him. Given what has happened with the league, I am thankful and grateful that he is the manager. Not perfect, but hey, we can't have it all now can we. Hopefully, this is our year but I'm not planning any parades yet

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***

Wenger's interview with beIN suggests that he is actually going to sign someone in January. He says:

"Yes, we are short and the number of games we have to play in January are very important. God knows how we will come out of the Christmas period which is very demanding on the physical front. We need to do something."

Why do I think that means he is going to sign someone? Because that is different from what Wenger usually says, which is something along the lines of this:

"Yes, I understand the fans would like a signing. But I will not buy a player just to bring someone in. We are not looking for quality. Instead, we are looking for super quality players. And once you have identified a player, you can make a bid, but the other team must accept that bid to make a deal. If the other team says no, then my hands are tied. We are always working hard to find super quality players, and I would like to make a signing or two. But let us not forget that Jack Wilshere and Tomáš Rosický are returning from injury in two weeks, and they are like new signings."

Wenger is saying "we need to do something" instead of "I might do something if..."

Thus why the Metro has zero credibility.

Well before he took the Bayern job he was asked in an interview what club he would like to coach and he said Arsenal, so there is some credibility. I am not saying that the Metro is legit, but the speculation of him coming to Arsenal isn't far fetched. I think it is all up to Wenger.

Apparently we are looking at Basel midfielder Mohammed El-Neny. Rumored price is £8m.

It sounds like the deal is done. He is a pretty good player and an upgrade to Coq imo. In fact it would be interesting to see the two of them paired in midfield.

he seems a bit reckless going forward, but his passing and shooting look pretty sharp
