The victory is bittersweet for me. I hate Diaby and him scoring 2 goals will just give Wenger more reason to play him. He's a midfielder who wants to be a forward, he pushes forward waaaay too much.

Not a fan either. But he played pretty well today and was very active. I think he is probably our second worst option for the CM postion behind Ramsey and thats just because Ramsey is just too young right now.

Its important that Arsene plays Diaby whenever possible as he is going to have to play a big role in this teams success this season. As it looks like Wenger will once again pass on signing an experience CM. So he is going to have to provide depth in that role.

I think the book is still out on him. He looked great today, and I've always thought he's shown flashes of ability. I agree that pushes forward too much (I feel the same way about Gallas), but if he can play like this more consistently, I think he can be a good player for Arsenal.

I also like Eboue much better as a right back, and I hope he sees most of his minutes there, because I want to kill him when plays mid and does everything wrong like a sumo wrestler attempting a gymnastics routine.

Diaby seems to have these one or 2 games where he looks amazing and then he gets hurt and is out seemingly forever. Hopefully, if he gets a good run of games, he can really shine.

I don't like Eboue at all, but he hasn't been horrible this year. I do agree that RB is his best position and he SHOULD NEVER be allowed anywhere near the midfield lol

I don't think NEVER can be emphasized enough in regards to Eboue.

For some reason the game isn't available (as of last night) on stupid Setanta broadband, despite setting it to "record" prior to the game. I broke down this morning and spoiled it for myself...

So, apparently Eduardo could face a two match ban for his blatant dive last night.

I'm all for this if it happens, and if it doesn't, I think it's a mistake. It's was a clear dive, and it's embarrassing to me as a supporter and just embarrassing to the game. Strict punishment is the only way this can be stopped.

Now, for those who say it was a decisive factor, lies. This had no effect on the tie in which Arsenal dominated and Celtic were purely outclassed. I think most Celtic fans are pleased with the dive because it gives them an excuse, even though it's an awful one.

Dive or not, Celtic wasn't winning that match.

But to me, watching live yesterday, it looked like a dive.

Well said. I agree. It was a bad decision by Eduardo.

Definitely look liked a dive, even in real time.

As for the match; the dive didn't effect the result of the match, but it's a shame the match won't be remembered for Arsenal's dominance, but for Eduardo's dive.

                        Sigh

Arsenal would have won anyway, but man, something needs to be done about them. 20 years ago, the technology just wasn't the same so nobody has any idea just how frequently it was happening. It's getting out of hand now... Portugal in the WC was just the tip of the iceberg. Eduardo deserves a ban.

It looks like they're going to start adding extra officials in the Europa League (still hate that name LOL) to look out for all this simulating/diving, which will be nice. It's a start...

Arseblog said it best. If he were English or playing for Man U or Chelsea, nobody would have batted an eye. If they start handing out bands. Guys like Gerrard and Ronaldo will should have to serve 20 game bands for back pay for all the times they have drawn PK's on dives over the years.

Gerrard dives at times with little contact but dat Eduardo dive was jus a disgrace, no contact or intention to touch him

Not to get sidetracked, but this weekend's game is huge. It is the 1st chance we get to show that we are for real against the defending champs.

I think a draw is not a bad thing especially since we are playing at OT. A win would be a bonus
