That Standard Liege game was a nightmare. I thought for a while that Arsenal wasn't going to win, and I was not happy. I know a win is a win, but that win was UGLY.Comment

We looked awful and definitely deserved to lose that game. And if it weren't for the ref keeping his flag down and the Liege defenders all camping out on the edge of the 18 yard box the entire second half, we probably would have.

this was a big win for Arsenal. we stopped the bleeding from manchester. and we won ugly. arsenal usual does not win ugly. a scrappy win like that will give them confidence. the team struggled last year because they could not manage to win unless they were playing A+ "beautiful" football. where as untied and chelsea are masters at scatching out a victory.
was the goal lucky? of course, but that is a part of football. with all teh dominance in the second half, arsenal would have been unlucky to not level it, if not win.
was also amazing to see how physically fit EPL teams are compared to the rest of Europe. you play 40+ matches a year and that is how you have to be.Comment

Minus Arshavin we have to be the worst finishing team in the Premiership. This Wigan game should already be in the bag. I'm a big RVP fan an all, but I swear he misses more gimme's than any striker in the EPL.
