Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***

The game was good to watch, but it wasn't fantastic. I agree with Nomar - moments of the game were sloppy and we didn't really start threatening West Ham until the 2nd half, especially when Adebayor came on.

    Heres' what I think:

    1. I have a love/hate relationship with Song. He's a good player and he can break up play in the midfield, but he has lapses and times where he's out of position

    2. Gallas better start playing well soon.

    3. Robert Green had a great game, but he should have been sent off for that handball lol

I thought we did well to win because the way the game was going with the chances and not scoring in the 2nd, I was thinking it would be one of those games. Good that the team pulled it out though

Now, time for the Gunners to take down Spurs

By fantastic I meant it was a fun game to watch and it was back and forth. It was definitely sloppy, but that made it enjoyable.

Four off the lead, one behind Chelsea and clear of Manchester Utd. Not too shabby for losing to Fulham & Hull in the early going...

Oh and I think you're more or less spot on in your assessments, Nomar...
Yeah, I'm optimistic about their place in the league. Especially with games against Liverpool and Chelsea to come.

I'm really looking forward to Wednesday's showdown with the Premier League cellar dwellers... I mean Spurs.

Yeah, I was really looking forward to seeing a match up of two elite teams, and then I found out Spurs were playing. It's funny, I didn't think Spurs were allowed in the deep end of the pool.

I am actually worried about the Spurs game even though they are the cellar-dwellers. Not to be the party pooper, but they do have talent even though they're unbalanced and with Harry in charge, he will make that team better. Plus, Spurs always play us tough regardless of position

Having said that I hope we crush them with glee

For the sake of my ears and pride I hope Arsenal wins this game, lol (I'm looking at you Gallas). My friend will chew my ear apart although he is a Liverpool fan. He always talks smack when Arsenal plays bad, and it doesn't help that Liverpool is in first. I don't let it show it bothers me so he eases off but deep inside it bothers me a little but its cool all fun when it comes to a game of footy.

Having been to over 40 North London Derbies I can tell you that
Form has very little to do with it except in the last couple of seasons where the "Team in white" just have nt really been up for it

I can not imagine for a second that Old 'Arry will not have the scum pumped up and ready to play and I d be suprised if this turns into an easy win for the Mighty Arse.

That being said "they" struggle to score, find it very hard to pressure the ball in central midfied and do not have an organised defense (without Ledley who's on the bench i believe) so 0-0 or 1-0 would be my predictions.

If ever you get a chance to go to this game, trust me you'll never experience anything like the sheer hatred and underling violent current of a mob. The only game ive never taken a girlfriend or (now) my wife to. The Manchester Derby is pretty special as is the scouse derby propably the biggest one in eurpoe is Celtic Rangers which ive been to once and ive never heard noise like it or felt as scared holding a plastic Pope wearing a celtic shirt.

                    "can he play?"
"boss he does nt know who he is!"

Did that seriously just happen? Unfreakingbelievable that they blew that lead. Man, I'm pissed.

Arsenal's defense has looked terrible at times this season, and this was no exception.

When your offense scores 4 goals you have to win the game.

                      Did I mention I'm pissed?

I think that's the worst I've seen Almunia play. And alot of people are wanting him to play for England. Don't want him!

WTF! I stopped watching this game because I thought is was over and I had somewhere to go then my friend gives me a called my phone and tells me we drew 4-4 I thought he was lying, I almost threw my phone into the street out of frustration when he told me, lol. Im telling you blowing leads is horrible sign of poor defending, lack of experience, and shoddy goalkeeping.

LOL. I had some money on this game. I see 4-2 so I was all smiles...five minutes later I get a call...4-4...there go the smiles . Couldn't believe it.

This is what happens when you cheap out on defenders and a goalkeeper. We blew a 4-2 lead with 2 minutes left in the game. That is inexcusable and I really really hope Wenger signs a GOOD defender in the next transfer window.

We do have the talent to win, but as a young side with poor defending and goalkeeping, it's going to be hard to win any trophies
