Must admit Arsenal's attack is mouthwatering at times. Central defence is a weak spot for the Gunners. Djourou should get more a chance I think.

I dvr'ed the game last night (gotta love Setanta) and while it was fun to watch as a fan, our central defense is brutal...Silvestre was never good as a CB at Man United and Song is well, not great.

Walcott is a joy to watch though and he's really making his mark with the squad although Ramsey was solid too. He's going to be another great kid

Silvestre should not be allowed on the pitch anymore after that abysimal performance Tuesday. He was awful.

Co-signed. The only place he should play is left back, and we have that covered with Clichy and Traore when he comes back from loan. If Wenger wanted someone experienced, is he telling us that Silvestre was his only and best choice??? He has some games where he's OK, but he maes a lot of errors. Heck, I'deven go as far to say Senderos is better.

Left back or sweeper. Left back in the dressing room and sweeping up!

Just finished watching "The Friday Football Show" on Setanta. And apparently the paparazi spotted William Gallas coming out of a London nightclub at 2 in the morning, smoking a cigarette. Apparently Wenger is very upset about it.

Hopefully this leads to Gallas finally getting stripped of the armband. If he does it needs to go to somebody besides Almunia. No need to take the armband off of a terrible player, only to give it to another one.

Gallas is ****ing infuriating to watch. He keeps pushing up too much, leaving us stranded at the back. And then instead of running back, he ****ing jogs back.

I can't wait until Gallas is no longer a Gunner.

BTW, to say Almunia is terrible is ridiculous, zito. He's been in amazing form so far.

The problem I have with Alumnia is his keeping on set pieces. He is so indecisive when it comes to coming off his line on set pieces its crazy. That as much as the denfense has been responsible for Arsenal's inability to defend a set piece.

Finally a goal! Van Persie is playing ridiculous right now, but he's been so unlucky. His free kick was absurd.

The team in general sucks at defending set pieces, but I think a lot of the problems on set pieces is because of Gallas. He's just an awful player and an even worse captain.

Thats usually the case. Fortunately I have both FSC and Setanta so catching Arsenal games isn't a problem. If only Dish hadn't of dropped GolTV, I would be in Soccer heaven.

If by fantastic game, you meant sloppy, poor quality football (until the last 20 minutes or so), I agree.

Eboue doesnt infuriate me that much at right back. That's where he should stay.

Song looked bad, but I expected that. Too many errant passes.

Adebayor was brilliant, and it always amazes me that bendtner looks so good in international play but does nothing for Arsenal.

Every time Van Persie goes down I think, "Oh great, he's out for the season." Hopefully this year he can stay healthy.

Gallas needs to stop pushing up. Clichy was forced to play back as a result, and Clichy is a vital part of the offensive attack. The offense suffered without him pushing up on the wings, and Gallas got beaten far to often defensively because he couldn't get back in time to stop a break.

Almunia has looked great, but he was indecisive on the play when Gallas gave West Ham a corner, and that has been my one problem with Almunia. At times he waits to long to make a decision and in the past it has cost them. Especially on set pieces.

Walcott needs to start like this every game. He did make a poor decision to shoot and not pass to a wide open Bendtner on his first break, but if he can keep making consistent runs like that, he'll score a lot of goals/rack up a lot of assists.

I agree with Acid in that it was a great game to watch, but more so due to the tension & nail-biting it produced as opposed to the overall quality of play. I really didn't think the ball was going to find its way into the goal, well West Ham's goal anyways, no matter how many chances they created. Four off the lead, one behind Chelsea and clear of Manchester Utd. Not too shabby for losing to Fulham & Hull in the early going...

Oh and I think you're more or less spot on in your assessments, Nomar...
