That was frustrating. We defended so well, and then we started pushing for a goal. Which I think was necessary, given that we weren't going to win at Barca coming off a 0-0 draw. But that opens you up to Barca's devastating counter, and Barca made us pay. If only Ox could have buried his sitter, the entire match might have been different. Up 1-0, we could have kept 11 men behind the ball for the entirety of the match, and maybe, just maybe, carried a 1-0 lead into the away leg. As it stands, it is looking like the Gunners will exit in the round of 16 for the 6th consecutive season. At least that means we can focus on the league and FA Cup with less fixture congestion.

See y'all next season. I'm through with Arsene and his bull **** and I'm through with the excuses of why winning the league doesn't happen. He blamed players leaving, the weather, the refs everything but himself. I'm done. I can't anymore, I just can't. This team has let me down way too much. World class players all over the pitch, pretty healthy going into February and you can't figure out how to beat an injury ravaged United team, a bad Chelsea and teams with talent much less than yours? Just Bull ****, absolute bull ****. Even worse, you have the highest ticket prices in the ****ing league and charge an arm and a league for membership dues, sitting on hundreds of millions of pounds then STILL make excuses for why you can't figure it out.

We're so ****ing ****. Arsene can **** right off what a ****ing fraud. Simeone IN please, at least he knows how to motivate his team and set them up. We've literally been served the league on a golden platter and we still can't take it. Watch us get smashed next week at the lane. Özil and Sanchez are going to be off this summer and I don't blame them. No one of that quality should spend their prime years in a team with Wenger at the helm. There's no excuses anymore. I wouldn't mind getting smashed 9-0 at Camp Nou if it meant Wenger's demise. We don't look like we can win the league ever again.Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
This season has made it very clear what we need to upgrade this summer (not that last season didn't or the year before that). We knew adding 1 player wasn't enough in August. In July we needed a goal scorer and here we are nearly in March in need of a goal scorer. As much as I like Ox, Giroud and Welbeck they aren't starters on a team winning a premier league championship much less advancing far into the champions league. Same goes for Per and Coq. We have the money, spend it.
It's infuriating to watch a player as good as Alexis pass up a shot from the center of the 18 at the end of a game. One of the commentators talked about it afterwards and why this play style won't allow us to win the PL/CL. As beautiful as it is when it works, when it doesn't it leaves us with terrible goal scoring chances and open to counters. As of late it hasn't been working very often. It just sucks sending out a team as talented as this one and watching them get hammered by a team filled with reserves and kids.Arsenal Gunners|Kentucky Wildcats|Cincinnati BengalsComment

It's not just about needing someone to score goals. This video sums it up perfectly: https://twitter.com/AFCAMDEN/status/703979367202988032Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
Figured I'd type up some more thoughts as it's the day after.
Walcott, Gabriel, Ramsey are three players that I don't think should be in the first team right now after yesterday's performances. Simple as that. Walcott is being paid far too much, and it might be time we move on from him. Gabriel showed he's not ready to be in the to pairing, and Ramsey is as inconsistent as they come.
Alexis has played like absolute **** since he came back from injury. Just a fact, really. Nothing we can do about it now except hope his form improves, as we desperately need him as a goal scoring threat.
Ozil is wasting his prime with this side right now and it's sad to see.
Petr Cech is the only reason we're not fighting for 4th right now. We have the exactly same record right now as we did last year at this time. We haven't even improved from last year.
Lastly, for the first time that I can recall, I hope the club seriously looks into if Arsene is the right man to lead this current squad forward. He's done amazing things with the resources at his disposal, but I don't think he's the right man to lead the squad we have now.
Yesterday was as much about mentality as anything, and when that falters I think it falls directly on the managers shoulders. We have far too much talent on this squad to not be at least level with the league leaders right now at this stage.
I can't help but wonder where we'd be if a different manager were leading this team right now, during this year. I feel like we'd be closer to winning the league.Comment

What I really don't like about Arsenal is the players attitude to the refs. They just yell to the ref every time, every single moment. Sometimes they're right, sometimes they're not. But come on, they do it so much it's ridiculous.Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
So? That's not good enough when you've lost six games at this points in the season.
Watch the next time a hard tackle happens to an Arsenal player. That player is the one who will be angry about it. That player is the one who will yell at the official. Other players? Just standing around looking bored.
If you watch Arsenal and what you see wrong is that they have a poor attitude to the referee, but they play attacking football so they’re well off, then I’m not sure what season you’re watching games from, as it’s not this one.Comment
