im kind of hoping they clean house this summer. I know the whole damn team is injury proned, but its time to get some of these guys off the payroll. I am sure you guys would disagree with me but Walcott, Wilshere, Gibbs, and Ox should go. Yeah they add depth when they aren't injured, but I have a feeling they are content where they are (despite what they say) and that isn't good enough to win a title. Its only a matter of time that Alexis and Ozil will be gone and then the club will drop out of the top 4.

They have had their chances and haven't proved they can be world class players at Arsenal.

That might be in the wrong thread, disgusting, nonetheless.

If we draw against Villa, I might need an ambulance.

Gibbs is a great backup for Nacho for as long as Nacho is around. He shouldn't go anywhere.

I'm not ready to give up on Wilshere yet. When he's in the side he makes a difference.

Theo and Ox can both go. I'd prefer to see them go, actually.

Ox can go, I like Theo, but I can also see the argument for him leaving, I really want Giroud gone, and a top level striker brought in.

Giroud is durable and still is a good second option. Rather have him around to rest whom ever would play ahead of him.

Agreed. I'm fine with him coming off the bench, as he's shown the ability to come in late and score.

I really like Giroud but this team desperately needs a finisher in front of goal and he's not it. Welbeck is better suited for that role but I don't think he's ever going to be good enough to be the first option for a team that wants to win the league/compete in Europe every year. He'd be a fantastic second option though. We can't keep filling our first team with project players who might finally play to their potential.

I feel like we're saying the same thing every year and no sane person thought we'd do well in Europe if Giroud/Coq/Ox/Theo/Per/Flamini were first team regulars (Flamini due to injuries but we knew we needed another DM a year ago).

Hopefully the tumors are true and we're close to a deal with Gladbach for Granit Xhaka. He'd be an excellent addition and I've been pretty pleased with Elneny so far. I've heard a lot of things about being linked with Mahrez as well but I can't see a scenario where we spend what Leicester's likely asking.

Agreed except for Wilshere, if he can stay fit he'll be world class. You can tell by watching him play, it's all there. He'll prove to be miles ahead of Ramsey if he can stay fit.

Lots of noise about Xhaka today.

Get it done. We'll take him.

Didn't seem to have these types of issues at United.

It could be the time of year and our position on the table, but this really has to be something with the club, right? Not a jinx or a curse, but how we're handling injuries, training, recovery, etc.

Yeah I'm beginning to think the physio staff might need an overhaul.

I don't know, look at athletes here in the states that come back from similar injuries much faster. I wonder if it has to do more with overall muscle strength training, nutrition, and recovery. Recovery probably being the most important.
