Doubtful of any result in our favor today, that doesn't mean I won't hold on to hope. Here's to getting through and hoping Atletico just make one dumb mistake to allow us a goal.

I won't be surprised if we get through, as we've shown in the past that we are quite the "cup team" and have an ability to play well when it's needed in these one-off situations. Which is a positive, but also speaks negatively about the squad...hopeful, but ready for the season to essentially end today.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Arsenal win today. This squad play best when there is no pressure and nobody expects them to win. With everyone talking about how great Atletico is at home, all pressure is on them to see out this tie.

On the same token, it wouldn't surprise me to see us be absolutely dominated. Atletico are the better team by fair margin, and if they show up at 100%, we'll be outmatched.

I don't think we'll leave feeling embarrassed or domminated if we don't advance, though. If Atletico win the tie, I think it'll be with them holding us off today but not doing much going forward. That's fine, because that's all they need to do. I just don't see us losing the tie and looking like chumps—I think we'll go out with a solid effort if we do not advance.

It's the usual suspects Ospina Bellerin Mustafi Kos Monreal Xhaka Ramsey Wilshere Welbeck Ozil Lacazette.

I thought Mhki might get the start over Wilshere.

Picked up a knock during United match, I was fairly certain it would relegate him to bench duty.

I heard it was confirmed Kos tore his achilles. Anyone know if that is true? Would feel terrible for him to miss the WC.

Well, I think it's pretty safe to say now that this was sort of a wasted year of extending Wenger, which is what a lot of you predicted. At least it was only one year that was wasted. Now you get a manager search to look forward to.

Seems to be true. He hasn't been the same player for years, and this could be it for him playing consistently at a top level club. The continuous injury has derailed his career for years now and seen him playing in constant pain. It, unfortunately, seemed inevitable that it would come to this.

It was—there were perfect chances to end it, but the club was not ready to pull the trigger until Sven and Raul were in place, as well as the stadium started to be empty.

Make no mistake about it, despite whoever is appointed and joins in terms of transfers our realistic goal next year is top four. A fourth-place finish in the league alone would be enough for it to be a successful season.
