Was a penalty before it was a handball, seems the world evened things out nicely.

        I. Love. Lichtsteiner.

It has been too long since we had a proper bastard.

I'm not saying it was a dive, but ****, it's honestly to the point where as a defender you can not attempt to win the ball in the penalty area. "Stray leg by Xhaka" is nonsense, it's a leg attempting to make a tackle and not just stand and let someone run at you.

I'm not sure what else he's meant to do there, and as a defender, what do you do when you know the second you allow contact, whether you initiate it or not, an attacker can go down and its decided you impeded them because well, it's their right to always move forward when in an arbitrary boundary on the field.

          Ugh, unfortunate.

It's just weird that the best advice that can be given to a defender is "don't stick a leg out, someone might pretend to fall over it."

At least this draw will put an end to any title discussions.

So disappointed to drop points on two penalties.

Further proof we have GOT to sign a defender(s) in January.

Torreria (sp?) is incredible BTW, wow.

This this this. The only person who has even been in the same conversation of that title was one Flamini.

The frustrating thing about the winning streak ending is the "see, we all knew they were playing against awful teams, and playing awful, it didn't matter" nonsense. If any other top six side won that many games consecutively right now I don't know if it would've been met with such meh. But, due to last season, I get it, and I know it's not as if we were dominating each match.

Still, that's a hell of a stretch. It wasn't eleven undefeated, it was eleven wins. It has put us in a great spot in terms of fighting for the top four and has certainly helped build confidence.

There's a ton to work on, but that was a fantastic run. Play the damn kids in the cup this week and give everyone a rest. Huge match on Saturday which we need to get something from.

Man I'd love to see a full kid roster out there, as impossible as it may be.

Bellerin being injured is no bueno.

Sky Sports reporting that it was officially said to Aaron Ramsey will not be offered a new contract, and will be allowed to leave on a free transfer at the end of his contract.

In other news, 551 days since a horrific injury, Gedion Zelalem is back in full training.

                          Our lineup today vs Blackpool!

                          Cech
                          Jenkinson/Mustafi/Pleguezuelo/Lichtsteiner
                          Guendouzi/Ramsey
                          Maitland-Niles/Smith-Rowe/Mkhitaryan
                          Welbeck

                          Martinez/Holding/Torreira/Willock/Iwobi/Auba/Nketiah

I kinda wanted to see Martinez start, as well as Nketiah. But I'm fine with Pleg getting his debut, and Maitland-Niles return from injury. Hoping we're ahead comfortably so Willock and Nketiah can come off the bench instead of Torreira and Auba.

Guendouzi was never going to start on Saturday, so that card isn't a huge loss. Hey, another win!

I believe new FA Rules state he will miss the next game in THIS competition, not just the club's next game.

                              Saw that on Twitter today.

But either way, you're right. Would like to have him available to come off the bench when we are trying to hold on to a late lead Saturday; lol...

That actually makes an insane amount of sense. It's always been ridiculous that a player receiving a straight red in a league match would miss a league cup and FA Cup match, and one league match. Yes, all under the FA umbrella, but so illogical.
