I mean, there’s so much money coming into Top PL sides that turning a profit should be pretty easy these days.

My thoughts exactly...
Arsenal have near top average attendance and I believe most expensive ticket price.
No reason in the world this club should be so stingy. The longer they remain stingy, the longer they will meddle in mediocrity.

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
The other problem Arsenal has is they are really bad at getting value out of players that do leave. Outside of a couple sales last year (AOC, Giroud, Walcott) when's the last time you remember Arsenal doing well selling a player? They're always letting contracts to run down too far.Comment

That's our only hope with the current ownership. Buy shrewdly, sell at a profit and hope everything aligns for a season or two with those players who we'll eventually move on.
To me, the absolute first priority this Summer is getting Ozil's wages off the books—it's an absolute necessity.Comment

I still can't believe you sold RVP for that little to Man U. You basically sold them the title for £22M.Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
Sure, no one is arguing that. It's just Priority 1, while winning is Priority 3. It doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks of how we go about being profitable, it's the only thing that matters to Kroenke either way.Support Local Sports

I'm only mad because RVP saw the writing on the wall for Arsenal, and my head was too far in the sky to be anything other than angry with him about it.Support Local Sports

I'd let him go for £80m tomorrow if it meant we could spend it on 2–3 younger players. Jokes aside, I do think player sales is one way we'd actually have more transfer funds.Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
Unfortunately I think player sales is the only way to increase funds for the transfer market with the club at the moment.
