I think Emery is too conservative to change what he thinks has been "working well" or something to that effect.Comment

Agreed.
Also interesting decision from medical staff given they have all played 90 minutes and just been “off” for 2 weeks.
I was so looking forward to today. Now—far from pleased.
I see a 2-0 or 2-1 defeat ahead.

To be clear:
I wouldn't mind at all if we were winning, getting results, or playing well with pragmatic tactics. But that's not what we're doing. We've barely had a plan after the start of last season and we play in a manner that does not utilize the players we have.
I can't shake this feeling that Emery is set on managing this squad as if we're full of midtable talent. We're certainly not near the top of the league, but we're not even using what we have, or what we have well.Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
I kind of get resting Tierney and Bellerin, and waiting til they are 100%/100%, the demands we put on our fullbacks is quite large, and as they both had leg injuries, it makes sense to be cautious.
That said, Holding should be starting instead of one of the two current starters, and that's just not even very debatable. We don't demand a lot of centreback movement and he's a better passer than Sokratis, and less prone to mistakes than Luiz.Support Local Sports
