Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
Apparently an initial £250k/week, but can rise to £300k/week with bonuses. The stories of him passing Ozil's wages seemed to only be reported in tabloids.
Reminder: Ozil is on £350k/week—I'd say we did pretty well with Auba, even if it's more of a guaranteed £300k. He doesn't rely on his speed as much as he has in the past, and his ability to find space and finish is not going to suddenly diminish.Comment

Yeah—and just think, IF we are able to secure Champions League Football AND get Özil wages off the books for next summer/season..

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
We look serious about bringing in Aouar soon, which is great. If we make that signing, we have a chance at fourth. I think it's a very small chance, but if we don't add creativity centrally (even though Arteta wants to create from wide positions), I think we're fighting for sixth.Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
Arteta has spoken about how "everyone starts fresh" and all that nonsense, but it seems clear the club would like to move him on and cash in on him to some degree. The issue is there doesn't seem to be anyone very interested as of now.
I hope he can at least be moved, even if it's not what the club initially wanted. He came in for £7m, so anything he goes for will be a decent profit, and if Arteta doesn't want to use him, his value will never increase.Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
Latest is that he’s training with the first team (as opposed to before when he was training by himself).
He recently captained the French U21 side.
Hard to tel where Arteta stands exactly, but as Kreb said, not many (any?) suitors, and him not playing won’t do anything for his value..
