A deal for Lokonga looks to be edging closer, and we've apparently agreed to personal terms with him. Definitely the type of signing we need to be making in terms of age and availability/price.

I'm increasingly perplexed at how Edu and Arteta want to spend money. Thankfully I've really checked out for the past week, check transfer news every few days, and have watched zero of the Euros because ew, international football that only will spur more transfer nonsense.

Yeah I haven't been bothered with anything dealing with Arsenal for a while now, I have zero expetations or care about the future of this club and clearly cutting youth's women's development is a bit sad to read honestly.

Well I am going to see them play in Orlando one month from today.

Needless to say, despite all their shortcomings and goofs (because let’s be honest, we all have them)—I am beyond excited.

Bit closer, and also close to signing a young LB, Tavares, from Benfica. Again, the right type of profile as opposed to Patrick van ****ing Aanholt.

Also, seems that Ben White is very much happening. I'd like to get this complaint out nice and early—he's too damn short. Not looking forward to another season of short defenders. Gabriel + Saliba had me so excited for the future of having some damn height and physical presence in the center of defense.

But Ben can dribble the ball forward and we apparently have no idea how to create attacks unless they begin from our right-sided center back. Sigh.

He doesn't look short to me looks at least 6 feet too me which isn't bad for a center back but regardless how tall he isn't he isn't that solid in the air. That game against Burnley you had Vydra out dueling him a few times and he looked shorter than White as well as that Man City game where he struggled to deal with a few Aerial duels. So if anything I am concerned about that especially when one of the bright points was Arsenal defended set pieces pretty well last year, we shall see though but I feel you on having more physical presence.

I’d rather see taller than 6’ back there. No, height alone doesn’t make you great in the air, but it helps.

He's not in the final Olympic squad, so hopefully he'll get a chance in preseason!

Lokonga is official! Once again, the right profile we should be signing in terms of age, potential, etc.

The Ben White deal looks inevitable, and has some interesting details, if true. Essentially, we wouldn't be paying much until next season, when we'd play a fairly large chunk before then paying more over the next few years. This actually makes sense in terms of how we'd be able to afford a £50m player this Summer.
