What's better than an away goal? Three away goals! Love it.

Still not feeling easy even with a 2 away goal advantage.

Because we possess the ability to systematically self-implode, yeah, but I feel pretty good about 1-3, far more than 1-2.

I was still ready, and the way we played with an extra man made me glad that I was prepared.

So many things make me happy this morning, and one of them is the Bale hype train coming to a halt now that he had to play decent opposition. Was entirely invisible, including when he refused to track back to help his right back who was being decimated by ESR and Tierney.

Some positive murmurs coming out about Ødegaard and him wanting to stay at Arsenal. One thing I did not know until today which is positive is that we're not paying his Madrid wages, but instead negotiated our own contract with him. I love this because it shows there is already a relationship being built with the player and his representatives.

At the minimum I hope we can extend the loan by a year, or a transfer with a large buy-back clause for Madrid.

Glad to see Pepe getting a start today. He's looked good when he's played recently—hoping he can do the same from the start today. Ending this early with a goal would be fantastic.

If we don't sign Ødegaard this Summer, nothing else we do matters because that is both the best and most realistic signing we can make that is essential.

As for the defense...I love, love, love the rumbles about our interest in Bissouma, because him and Partey together, yes. Yes. That would help the defense, and it'll also be helped be getting David Luiz the hell out of the squad. I honestly think he has a negative presence in the defense sometimes. Basically, he makes those around him worse.

You guys might luck out with Real needing to offload some pieces in order to finance Haaland or Mbappe.

All of the Ozil comparisons are a little off and unnecessary but he's looked good in that 10 role.

This is my big hope. They'll need to sell, and it's very likely he could be happy at Arsenal, even if for a few years before going somewhere else. He's made himself a regular starter and while I know some people say "But Smith-Rowe!" well, we need depth.

I'm sure it happens everywhere, but there's something that collectively Arsenal supporters seem to suck at understanding and that's depth. The amount of times I see "Should we sell (blank)?" just because we might be able to make a profit, but would at the same time cripple our depth is insane.

There is plenty of room and games for both Ødegaard and ESR.

Lastly, I don't know who this Ozil is that you speak of.

69 percent of Arsenals conceded goals have been in the first half.

So frustrating. What's crazy (for us) is that only Man City have conceded fewer goals (3) from set pieces than Arsenal (4).

I think Arteta has done a great job sorting out our defense given some of the players we have. Kola + Mustafi are gone, but were always going to give you errors and we still have Luiz and Xhaka who have their days, but will also absolutely make shocking mistakes.

It's really sad to see what happens to this team without Saka or ESR in the squad. We should not be that reliant on two young players to do...something.
