He's performed like a backup should be expected to, which doesn't mean he's been poor, but there's a reason he's not the starter and part of that is what he lacks in defense that Tomiyasu brings.

His crossing is fantastic, though, but we've never had a real target in the box under Arteta. I think many of us know who could get on those crosses if he were in the middle, though—Martinelli.

One of the biggest strengths he showed early in his EL performances was his heading ability when he's through the middle.

Love Laca, but I can not wait for someone new in that role next season.

It’s a testament to what a manager and technical director can do to actually change the culture of a club when they’re supported by ownership, and for all their faults, KSE have supported the hell out of Arteta and Edu. Best thing to happen for Arsenal under KSE was the son to take over from the father, as it he seems to want to make it his own and into something more than a overseas investment.

But you’ll still win today and it won’t be any more impressive than beating us even if we’d lost five straight—we’re in a league of 17-18 teams, you’re in a league of 2 teams.

Oh, but **** KSE.

It was all about the response, and that was the correct response. Four points above United with a game in hand, six points above West Ham with a game in hand, and six points above Spurs. There's a lot left, but we're at least giving ourselves a chance.
