    Congratz to USMNT!
    Nice work there.
Need to play at this level for the WC2014.
Hopefully in two years time, the younger players will have more experience and better skilled.

Yet again my boy Deuce comes through. Never doubt him, ever. He will always come through. Always!!

Big win in KC, scary early on and early on in the 2nd half - but man Bradley is a force to be reckoned with. The guy is just out of this world smooth. Props go to Zusi also for his growing stock, love it.

I was hoping to not see an unpleasant surprise when I got home to check the score. Glad to see they held on for a W!

          re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread

hey Guys, I'm Jakob and I grew up in Germany for the most part of my life and moved over here (tampa bay,FL) 8 yrs ago in my mid 20s.

I have to say I really hope the US soccer federation gives J.Klinsmann enough time to build this program up from the bottom. Brasil is unfortunately too early but I believe the next WC after that is within reach if we stick with his program, but maybe the biggest challenge IMO is to find a better solution for getting young talent a real competitive game experience. from what I can see college soccer is not an adequate level to get these youngsters up to speed for international competition. I'm thinking if there is something similar to the AAU system in basketball , where soccer players get good exposure and compete on a high level against their piers across the whole country and then have something like a 2 or 3 tiered MLS for the different age groups ( similar to the youth bundesliga(s) we have in germany) and then do away with any requirement or pressure to go to college/university after HS, but rather make a degree on the side and have them already start taking courses for it during highschool, so places like IMG need to step it up even more.
Idk , I'm in the middle of my homework and lost a bit my train of thought! LOL
I might elaborate on the end part a bit more later on.
Go team USA though!! just remember how Klinsi turned the german soccer around and injected so much youth in it and introduced new training methods to soccer. At the end of the day if we/ the US puts our head and money into it -> we will win the WC sooner or later.

13 points. Same amount the team earned four years ago at this same stage. What was everyone so worried about?

Moving on, that's all that counts. Nice job to get the 6 points in crunch time.

Now shore up that defense for the hexagonal!

I'm a bit disappointed that Canada didn't make it to the next round. 8-1? Ridiculous.

                re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread

I think not having the full complement of players, but still grinding through will be huge going forward.

Klinsi has found out that Cameron can be a starting CB, that EJ is back and that we have a quality playmaker in Zusi. If we can get Timmy Chandler back and hopefully a healthy Donovan, this team can be very dangerous.

People worry about Jozy, but I look and think the forward talent is deeper than ever.

We have also seen that the other two German imports, Fabian Johnson and Danny Williams will be quality contributors for years to come.

Future is bright for USMNT, we just need to have faith in Klinsi's methods.

                  re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread

Roster released for the friendly with Russia on Wednesday and I am pumped.

                  U.S. ROSTER BY POSITION
GOALKEEPERS (3): Tim Howard (Everton), Sean Johnson (Chicago Fire), Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake)

DEFENDERS (6): Carlos Bocanegra (Racing Santander), Geoff Cameron (Stoke City), Timmy Chandler (Nuremberg), Maurice Edu (Stoke City), Clarence Goodson (Brondby), Fabian Johnson (Hoffenheim)

MIDFIELDERS (7): Michael Bradley (Roma), Mix Diskerud (Rosenborg), Joshua Gatt (Molde), Joe Gyau (Hoffenheim), Jermaine Jones (Schalke 04), Sacha Kljestan (Anderlecht), Danny Williams (Hoffenheim)

FORWARDS (4): Juan Agudelo (Chivas USA), Jozy Altidore (AZ Alkmaar), Terrence Boyd (Rapid Vienna), Herculez Gomez (Santos Laguna)

Three players in particular that I am excited to see are Timmy Chandler (who says he is "1000% committed to the US), Joe Gyau and Josh Gatt. I also think having Mixx Diskerud is big. Looking forward to the game at 10 a.m. CT on Wednesday.

I really like Boyd a lot, looked good in the Mexico friendly. Nice to see Agudelo on the roster as well. Hope Klinsmann gives him more looks, he really was just in a bad spot with the log jam of forwards for the Red Bulls and I know Klinsmann is big on club play. I'm really hoping Adu gets a call up eventually, he made some brilliant passes this year, too bad none of his forwards could finish.

Bradley is really coming into his own since moving to Roma. He's becoming a really good player.

Since when has Timmy Chandler been playing for the U.S.? I thought he kept giving excuses and was holding out hope for playing for Germany.

Just this last game and I wish he'd play for Germany with plays like that.

Great performances by Agudelo, Bradley, and Howard in my opinion. Altidore didn't look that bad either. Gonzalez and Cameron need to be the starting central defenders come the hexagonal.
