re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread
Honestly, I don't even think it's missing Bradley that is the issue. The issue was we chose to play these "penetrating" long balls via Jones intended for anyone - but just didn't work. Our opportunities came best when we played through the center and quick outside flanks running off their defender's backside. Jones just tried too much and was very "lazy" with the ball. I think he's a good work horse, but Bradley or Mix could have brought in a bit more simple play that was well needed.Comment

re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread
I'm curious if Jones still has Klinsmann's trust after his performance last night. He ruined the tempo of the match in the first half with all those pointless long balls and made mistakes leading to the first 2 goals. Beckerman and Mix could make him very expendable in my opinion and Torres and Corona both have the ability to play in the middle as well. I'd like to see Corona get a chance in a central attacking midfield role where he's more comfortable someday.Comment

re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread
This is the foul keeping Besler out of our match against Mexico. What a crock of ****. Joel Campbell is a real hero. Go to the 5:40 mark to see it.

re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread
Anyone from OS that's in Columbus for the match plan on going to any of the pep rallys/pre match parties tonight (Monday)?
Just curious. I'd go but my buddy who's going to match with me and my fiance all have to work. Didn't know if there'd be any OSers there to talk to.

Whoever the MNF studio host gal is, Suzy Kolber maybe? Whatever, not important.
She was promo-ing the match tomorrow.

re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread
does FIFA even look at this sort of thing?
both the player and ref deserve discipline.
In other news...
am I the only one that thinks the USMNT often looks better without Dempsey?
Don't throw things at me...it's just a feeling I've had watching them play...Australian Rules Football...just sayin'Comment

re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread
He loses the ball a lot and goes down pretty easily. He's not in great form right now and honestly hasn't been this year in my opinion with the exception of the Germany game. However his runs were what made Jozy so effective in the June qualifiers. He came pretty close to scoring against Costa Rica, the main thing is he struggles a bit holding up with his back to goal. Sometimes I think he'd be better suited as a left midfielder cutting in towards goal.Comment
