Looks like the stress got to him lol. I understand his rant about the fans and banners but c'mon, he accepted the interim tag when he took the job. If he didn't like it then, then say no.
This season continues to be a **** show. I'll always be thankful to Roman's investment but it's time he learns that stability and patience is the key to building a winnerComment

The only thing we can hope for is somebody who isn't a human turd to buy the club from him.Comment

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
That's true, but the reality is that no decent coach wants to go there because basically, Roman and his stooges run the show and the manager has to work within that. I don't have a lot of sympathy for Rafa, but I do see where he's coming from in that regard. The problem with this team is that Roman signed too many flair guys and not enough steel in the midfield.Comment

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
Rafa's whole "they don't like me because I was the coach at Liverpool" thing really pisses me off. He is too whatever to realize that we don't like him because of the things he's called us. I have no sympathy for him and can't wait til he is no longer associated with the clubComment

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
We should have put West Brom away early last Saturday. I know they have given us trouble in the past and gotten our last 2 managers fired but we really needed a confidence builder before the FA Cup match with United this weekend.
What scares me is the fact that you never know what you're gonna get with us. At times we look brilliant but at other times we lay a complete stinker (vs Citeh).
I have been impressed by Ramires lately. His effort and ability to make those penetrating runs through the teeth of the defense really opens up the game. I don't know what to think about with the Oscar/Mata/Hazard situation. Defensively, we cannot play all of them at the same time. Mata can't play out wide either. Offensively, he is great out wide but he'll leave our fullbacks out to dry since he can't play D. Play him central and you lose the creativity that Oscar brings down the middle. I have a feeling it will be Moses out wide vs United with Ramires/Lampard in the midfield. Ivanovic/Luiz/Cahill/Cole in the backline with Ba/Mata/Hazard rounding it out.
Should be exciting though considering our last few clashes with them.Comment

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
I think atm I like Moses over Oscar, at least to start games. Mata is great in that CAM spot and Moses actually tracks back to help on defense. Plus he is our best option for an outright wide player.
Most of that game vs West Brom was Ben Foster honestly. I mean the score shouldn't have been that close but it was only close because of Foster.Comment

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
Well let's see:
Torres was terrible. His touch as usual was garbage. His decision making lacks any kind of confidence. He had a nice lobbed diagonal inside the box and instead of shooting he tried to pass it out of the box to Oscar.
Why Yossi even plays is beyond me. He had a great opportunity on his strong foot and hit the tamest shot possible. A freaking dribbler to their keeper.
Betrand was really bad. Routinely out of position and gave up the penalty leading to their sole goal. This was by far the worst I've seen him play.
Luiz was really bad at CB. Indecisive and almost afraid to tackle.
Mikel was his usual self, slow & un-inventive. How slows down everything and can't transition from defense to attack.
Lampard & Mikel are too slow to play in the midfield. For as good as Lampard has been he lacks the pace to create space or get away from defenders. We really missed Ramires who is the only midfielder we have capable of making runs.
Positionally in attack we are bad. Oscar & Mata often find themselves in the same position, the middle of the pitch. Torres drifts wide way too much. When we do create an attack he's never in the right position. Yes he makes runs, but he makes the wrong run ALL THE TIME! That's what makes Ba much better. Even though he's slow he stays in the middle of the pitch and can link-up plays because of his ability to hold possession. Torres can't dribble and is too weak to hold play up.
I don't know if it's the players, Rafa, or both but we look like we just don't care. I know it's hard to get up for a Europa league game in Turkey but there was absolutely no desire by us until Mata came on. The fact that we're relying on 1 player to inspire us is concerning. For as creative as Mata is he's very limited physically and can't carry a squad a la CR7, Messi, Zlatan, etc... He's been our best player by far but I think it's more due to being surrounded by Oscar, Hazard, Moses than Torres.
This match just confirmed a lot of things we already know:
Rafa sucks
Torres sucks
Roman sucks for firing Di Matteo
Whoever's decision it was to only carry 2 ST's when 1 is cup tied sucks
I have no doubt that we'll get up for Man United but they're going to be highly motivated after the UCL exit.

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
Pretty much summed everything up already
Ba better be starting vs United
At this point we just need to cut our losses with Torres and snag 1-2 quality younger dudes. Reus/Schurrle both expressed interest in playing for Chelsea. Jovetic would be fine too, maybe Oscar can convince Neymar to come over. Could try to beat United to Lewandowski, or **** just don't send freaking Lukaku out on loan.
So many options other than Torres for next season, we just need to cut and run.Comment

Dead on KG. Well said and agreed with you on all your points. This team has really fallen on hard times.
It's been really painful to watch this team. I really hope a more pragmatic approach is taken in the market this summer. A striker, central midfielder, and a centre back would be niceComment
