Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
So is Christensen a leader-type? I haven't really watched him play. I'm just wondering if he's seen as our long term Terry replacement and that's why we aren't signing anyone.
Zouma doesn't seem the type, although he has almost always played with Terry so he's never really had to take on that role.
I have faith in Conte, I just hope the board does too and gives him the time and players he needs. Maybe it's time to start trying out some of these academy players.Comment

Didn't realize how well Abraham was doing in the Championship. Currently the leagues top goal scorer.
I keep tabs on Musonda but admittedly don't know where many of our loanees are playing.SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Last week BeIn sports had the goals of the week segment and Lewis Baker scored a cracker for Vitesse. The GK didn't even move.

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
Tammy is blowing up the Championship, crazy and still just 18.
If he keeps scoring at his rate he will have a 30 goal season in his first ever season as a professional.
Absolutely nuts.Comment

I'm just trying not to jump to conclusions too much (even though I already have a bit). It's still early and we can certainly turn this around, but I just feel we have too many players who don't try hard enough.Comment

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
I agree with that and it stems from our best player having an "on/off" switch.
He turned it off and let Bellerin run right by him w/o tracking it leading to an easy tap-in.

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
He's one of the most gifted players I've seen in a Chelsea shirt, which is saying a lot, but Hazard's mentality drives me nuts.
With the amount of natural talent he possesses, he should be unquestionably on the level of Neymar/Bale/etc.
Instead he isn't, and it's because he just sort of stops trying at some point. Even Gary Neville was talking about it a while back, how Hazard will reach a point in a game where he has the whole defense wrapped around his fingers, and then just sort of let off, walk around a bunch and do that thing where he stops and stands still while faking like he's going to dribble again. It's like he's saying "I'm so good I'm not even going to bother playing you anymore".
I do think part of his attitude is not his fault, I think that he gets frustrated because we never have any other midfielders who are even close to his level, so opposing teams just triple mark him because we can't create anything without Hazard. I think this is where his "good enough" attitude comes from, because it's like " well we are winning and I'm tired from carrying the team on my back all game so this is probably good enough".Comment

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
Great win, a comfortable one even.
It looked like Matic was the one sitting back this game, with Kante as the box to box which I think is his best position. He was never just a lone anchor in the Leicester side last season.
Still would love to see more of Chalobah, doesn't seem to ever do anything wrong with the small amount of time he's given.Comment
