Lacazette is good enough to challenge Costa for a striking spot. He can play RW but he's definitely a striker. Griezmann would be interesting because I think his best position is on the left.

Reus would be amazing but I don't think he will leave, also buying Reus would mean moving Hazard to the middle which wouldn't necessarily be bad but would mean a slightly different approach than our current style.

I don't know if Lacazette is ready to challenge just yet. I think he has the skills but Diego is world-class and proven in 2 leagues rated much higher than Ligue 1. I actually think Griezman's best position is tucking in right behind a CF. He played wider at Sociedad but last year it was almost exclusively behind the CF.

I think we're playing coy in the market right now because we don't have any huge glaring holes like we did last year. We def have some depth issues, especially considering how little the squad rotated last year, but like you said a few posts back, our goal is the UCL and in order to achieve that we need a huge impact signing. Another goal-scorer OR either Eden stepping up his goal output/Oscar returning to form would help out. We could use another young long-term CB too since JT and Cahill aren't getting any younger.

If we get Salah, maybe Mikel, and Cuadrado wrapped up (maybe 30-45 mil euros) plus McEachren to Brentford (750k) & Kane to Forrest (~700-750k) we'll have a nice little kiddie (minus Begovic) to splurge.

I'll be honest though, I really want Sterling.

I'm hearing that Cuadrado is staying put. Well see.

Also hearing rumors of DeBruyne to City for 50 million. Big score for Wolfsburg, if that's true. Chelsea sold him to them 2 years ago for 18 million.

Cuadrado actually has a decent list of suitors. I believe a few Spanish sides like Valencia and Sevilla, maybe even Atletico are interested as well as the Italian sides I've mentioned before. I love his work-rate, especially his ability to track back but I think the English game is just too physical for him. He just can't seem to stay on his feet as he gets pushed off the ball quite easily. As speedy as he is, it's just not as pronounced as it would be elsewhere. Between him & Salah we should be able to recoup 60-75% of what we paid for them.

I actually like Salah more. He seemed to be able to get into dangerous spots but that finishing was just dreadful.

I would love to see Citeh spend that much for KDB. He's good but not that good.

Still think that kid is fantastic. Without that stupid injury he'd have likely spent the last two seasons in the first team and gotten actual minutes as well.

I really hope he can get fully recovered and playing like his old self

DiMarzio saying Romagnoli and Luis part of the Salah deal, that makes things interesting.

Though, I'm sure it's completely not true. Romagnoli is being touted as the most naturally gifted Italian CBs since Nesta, and one of the most promising young CBs in Europe; why would Roma give him up for Salah and 31 year old Luis?
