Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
We just need to start getting clean sheets again, and if Zouma at RB will do that I'm all for it. The attacking part of the game will come after becoming more solid at the back. Good away clean sheet last night and we could have won the game with a bit of luck. We are on the right road.Comment

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
I still think Baba should play against West Ham.
I sort of understand why he played Zouma at RB yesterday. Yarmolenko is a menace and even gave Dave problems vs Spain, but Baba needs minutes. Dude was one of the best fullbacks in the BL last season, and defensively he was actually pretty monstrous.Comment

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
Yeah he looked really nervous early on but settled into it. The bad part is normally the vets would just pick him up and cover his mistakes but we're all pressing so hard for results that any and every mistake is magnified. West Ham is noticeably quicker now so I'd expect Baba to play.

So does RLC's run in the team end at 1 game? I thought he played pretty well against Aston Villa and was replaced at half-time.Comment

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
Jose himself said that if RLC doesn't become the player for Chelsea that he looks like he could, then Jose is the one to blame. Something along those lines at least.
I don't envy Jose though, he's sort of stuck in a very tricky spot right now. He needs results, badly, and his team is out of form. It would honestly be easier to give RLC more meaningful minutes if the team was as dominant as we were the first half of last season, I believe Jose had this in mind when he said that stuff about RLC. You can call it the Barca or Bayern effect. People give them a ton of credit for always playing youngsters, but the reality is that when you are dominating every team in the league, every game, it's not a big deal giving minutes to kids.
Jose might think that it's more of a risk going "all in" with RLC (might not progress at the rate we expect, might not be able to mentally handle the pressure etc.) than sticking with Cesc (who has been terrible every game, but if he "snaps" out of it he's one of the best passers of the ball in the world).
Personally I think we should just go for it. I've watched this game since I was a little kid, and religiously since like middle school. Us fans obviously aren't experts, but if you have watched long enough you can get a pretty good idea about a youngster nonetheless. RLC has all the makings of a stunner; he's physically gifted and very strong, has phenomenal technical ability, has great defensive skills (just needs slightly more defensive awareness) has a great eye for a pass, has an eye for the goal as well, and doesn't shy away from any part of the game. He rides tackles with ease, and moves around the field like a luxury sedan.
This is the type of player we would spend 70 million for *coughPogbacough*. We just need to say **** it and go all in.Comment

Hey, can we just not lose to West Ham?
I don't ask for much, but it's my birthday this Sunday and it would be real swell if we could at the very least avoid a loss to those clown shoes.Comment

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
Please for the love of god stop playing Zouma at RB, he's almost as bad as Ivan. He's been one of our best players when playing in his natural position.
Costa is doing his best to emulate Torres, Fabregas is an absolute joke, Hazard is like some alternate universe Hazard where he is slightly pudgy and forgot how to play. Matic is being out shined by Mikel in literally every facet of his game. Willian, Dave, Bego, Zouma and Cahill are the only ones safe from criticism. I'd add RLC to that list but you have to actually play in order to have your game praised or criticized.
Honestly no clue what is going on with the team, but Jose certainly doesn't have much time left, if any at all. Problem is, who replaces him? Carlo? Yeah right, with the way we treated him the first time? No chance.
Only person I can think of that would be available that I'd actually be ok with is Hiddink, who had us playing maybe some of the best attacking ball we've played in the prem, but again same thing as Carlo. Not sure he'd be up for it.
This is the darkest timeline.Comment

I love Willian and he's been one of the bright spots out of a very dark place. Watching Hazard reminds me of watching Space Jam where those creatures sucked all the skills out of Barkely, Ewing, etc. lol
Anyways, if we drop to Stoke tomorrow and Liverpool over the weekend then I think Jose is really done. Also doesn't help that Jose has one pending ban and FA released another charge over Saturday's game now too. So it's possible he misses the Liverpool game.
Not good gentlemen. I think what happens is we have a manager to come in till the end of the season like happened with Rafa and then we take shot again at Pep.Comment

Rumor from "sources" is that Mourinho's people have already contacted PSG and Inter in case he is sacked. This is very disappointing (but so are the results this season).Comment
