Sloppy challenge by Rami. He doesn't need to win the ball there, just stand Coutinho up and get your body between him and the goal

Exactly, he committed himself and gifted Coutinho the chance.

Love how the commentator is saying that he should have a chance to get the team out of this hole.

Up 1-0 and we switch off allowing Liverpool to settle in to the game and get some confidence. They scored 9 goals all year and get 3 vs us. Nearly all the same. Liverpool player gets space and time in the box and finishes.

Mikel was awesome before taking him off. You can't play Rami in a midfield of 2, especially against a pressing side and he absolutely cannot be your holding middie after Obi goes off. I'm not trying to rag on Rami but we're not putting him in a position to succeed which is hurting us. Granted, he's not good enough to make us change formations but he's a 4-3-3 LM/RM. Remy should have played over Diego who was in Sahko and Skrtel's pockets all day.

I don't want Mou to go but I feel that the only way we are going to change style is if he leaves and someone else comes in. Scoring inside the first 10 mins and not pushing for more at home is ridiculous.

Chelsea need to reinvent themselves now as a fluid attacking team. The defence has been the staple for years but it just hasn't done enough for them. Averaging two goals conceded per game at his point, which is unheard of in my lifetime for Chelsea. At least if they focus more on just scoring, they can outscore almost anyone, they'll win games. The identity has been lost.

Costa getting a 3 game ban most likely in the week to add to the struggle, unless Clattenburg includes the kick in his report, which I doubt because having seen it and not sending Costa off would get him a relegation.

I don't think there was much in any of those Costa challenges.

Didn't think it was a kick...more of a flailing leg but he's earned a rep. Klatt was standing right there on both challenges and Skrtel didn't protest much at all.

You guys are missing something though, who is going to come in? Carlo, he was sacked in a tunnel, I doubt he wants to come back. Also, he is the same type of manager Jose is; he will get you trophies asap, but his style is unsustainable and he will leave within 3 seasons. Do you guys not remember his second season with us? We were absolutely dire. Pep? Unless Roman concedes an unprecedented amount of control (unprecedented for Chelsea) to Pep, I can't see him wanting to come here.

Truth is, we either need to stick with Jose (who has probably earned the right to have a crap half season) or we appoint somebody new and untested.

Dark times for sure, but nobody seems to consider the fact that we could very well get WORSE if Jose leaves.

He hasn't earned the right to a crap season to this extent. I can't remember a game against Chelsea looking so easy for us. This isn't a crap season by chelsea standards. Crap seasons for Chelsea see them finish just outside top 4 and maybe get a trophy too. They're just above the relegation zone, out of one cup, unconvincing in another. He has to go.

He's given us 3 of our 5 prem titles, if that doesn't earn him a crap season then nothing does.

That's why I still don't think he's going anywhere. Yeah, they'll take it on the chin this season, but he'll get the time to fix it. But if Diego Simeone is available next summer and Chelsea finish where they are (which I still don't think is going to happen) then maybe a change is made
