Stupid freaking Wayne Hennessy, every damn time we play them.
One of the dodgiest keepers in the lesgue and yet he has a worldie against us. We literally did everything but score. Palace tbf, took their chances when they came but wow, we should've won.

Dude is straight up gifting goals to every other team but whenever Palace plays Chelsea he turns into Neuer

From a passing perspective, that's the best we've looked since maybe the game against Leicester in the 2015 title winning season. Diego really should have finished off a few of those chances, especially the headers.

We really need to get at least a point out of this Man Citeh game.

Looking at Spurs schedule, it's fairly soft with their 2 big fixtures (United & Arsenal) both at home.

Besides Citeh, we've got away to United and Everton and a bunch of bogey teams (West Brom, Sunderland, and Soto).

If we put together another attacking display like we just did vs Citeh we'll hang at least 4 on them. If we fall asleep again we'll probably concede at least 3 though.

That one where he was so wide open in the box he could have spun around with his arms outstretched and not touched anybody, then instead of heading it he tries to chest it down.

          I couldn't believe it lol.

I think his mind is elsewhere.

I also think he totally meant to hurt that guy for Palace.

The title is still ours to win but if we drop points tomorrow and ground gets made up then the locker room may go into panic mode. We've been coasting for a while so hopefully Conte man manages through this situation.

With that said it's not like we were outplayed Saturday... we dominated before the goals and after the goals but that stretch of 3 minutes cost us 3 points.

I feel confident for 3 tomorrow. Citeh can score but they're a joke in the back. Lets hope Pep plays Navas again as wing back.

Going to Dean Court Saturday actually worries me a little more.

We need to just operate under the assumption that Spurs will win all their remaining games, which I personally think they will with maybe the exception of United.

We still have a little room for error but not much.

I just don't see how Spurs win all those games. I actually think they will drop points and end up 3rd.

None of those teams are really bogey teams for Spurs, and they play the hardest teams at home.

I'm just going based on their current form, they are probably the most in-form team in the league right now. I don't think they will lose any of those games.

                      Well they are the Spurs...

Same Spurs team that lost to Genk in Europa when they were trying to win. Good form right now but also only 2 PL games in March and a Millswall FA Cup win. Burnley victory was solid but I just don't see it and hopefully I'm right.

Either way, like you mentioned, we need to take care of business ourselves.

I thought they'd drop points at Turf Moor and it looked that way for a half.

You're both right though. We need to expect Spurs getting 3 every time out even though they probably won't.

I was kinda hoping Barca would snatch up Pochettino but it looks like he'll need another year or 2 before he takes a huge job.

Gentlemen, I would like to say I thank Costa for his contributions this season and ones before that but I am done. When his form is up he is one of the best forwards in the game. However, the guy has two types of form: superb or miserable. It is time to move on and I'm sure Conte will.

With that, a good 3 points. Some luck but I'll take it.

I'd actually say the luck was on their side.

They created good chances but our defense was great and their goal was just a complete biff by Courtois.

Good win, and yeah I agree Costa's form is very frustrating.

Ehh I'd say we were fortunate to come out with a win yesterday.

Keeper got his hands on both of our goals. Stones missed a sitter while Fernandinho and Aguero had real decent chances around the penalty spot. They also dominated possession/shots.

Costa has won us several games this season but I'll agree that he's been out of form for awhile now. Not really sure who we can get that's an upgrade at striker. Have you seen Lukaku when he's out of form? It's dreadful.

Fair enough, though I think the Stones miss was overblown. That ball took a deflection and ended up much higher than he was planning for.

As for Costa and Lukaku, I'd say it's hard to judge how Lukaku would be in a team like ours, because Everton suck so bad. He's literally their entire attack and nobody else on their team even comes remotely close to his contribution.

On his day Costa is one of the best strikers in the world, but if anything I'd say Lukaku is more consistent. Lukaku will drift in and out of form just like any player, but it doesn't usually last THAT long ( and like I said, maybe it's exaggerated due to the fact that his team is garbage). Costa on the other hand seems to go missing for the entire second half of each season, with the exception of last season where he was missing for almost all of it. This season and our first title win with Jose are almost identical so far; Costa is unplayable the first half of the season, and after January a shadow of himself where he does more fighting than scoring.

I'm still of the opinion that Lukaku (and Bertrand) should have never been let go, so I'd welcome him back. Still just 23 with room to improve, but already s proven and lethal goal scorer. He also grew up a Chelsea supporter.

Drogba was almost 27, and far less proven than Lukaku when he joined Chelsea.
