Re: MLS Discussion Thread
Nothing is official. Just working with the MLS and SDSU for a joint stadium and development similar to LA Live. This was a proposal photo during a pitch yesterday

Re: MLS Discussion Thread
I think attendance at first will be high as its new to us and we're desperately looking for something to latch on to, but success will determine if people are able to understand the game and continue to be addicted. We have an AHL franchise here, the San Diego Gulls, who have sold out there arena (16k) since the chargers have left.
The only pro franchise left are the Padres and we'll, that isn't going anywhere for a few more years.

Re: MLS Discussion Thread
Another interesting note, in a video released today, they mentioned purchasing a large stake of a Liga MX team to play games here as well. Clink the link below, its right in the beginning.

Re: MLS Discussion Thread
Portland hosts Minnesota to open the 2017 MLS season tonight! I'm pretty excited for the new season. I bought a Roku a couple weeks ago, and I signed up for MLS Live yesterday. So I'll be watching as much MLS as my schedule permits this season.
Is anyone else excited for opening weekend?Comment

Re: MLS Discussion Thread
For sure, great to have MLS back! And the league looks to be very good this year. It seems that many teams both stayed relatively stable and tried to get better. Excited for the quality that Minnesota and Atlanta seem to be bringing in. Maybe they'll offset the Chicago Fire/Philly United messes.?The Bulgarian Brothers - a story of two brothers (Oggy and Dinko) as they coach in the NCAA and the NBA.

Atlanta sold out their first game and already have over 30k season ticket holders.
That's pretty impressive honestly.Comment

Re: MLS Discussion Thread
Yeah, Portland looks solid, but Minnesota is just not dangerous at all. Defense OK, but nothing happens in Portland's half.?The Bulgarian Brothers - a story of two brothers (Oggy and Dinko) as they coach in the NCAA and the NBA.

Re: MLS Discussion Thread
5-1 was an ugly scoreline, but they weren't that bad. They just lost all their defensive shape after the penalty made it 3-1. Just being in the game into the 2nd half was my highest expectation, so they did that at least. I think Schuller is a very good midfielder, and the attack will get better as they play more together - lots of good players up there. The defense is going to be a problem though. Full backs are a step or two behind the speed of the league. Hopefully they can work out Thiesson's visa stuff because he'll at least improve one side.Comment
