March -> September doesn't work at all with Summer tournaments like Gold Cup, World Cup, and Confederation Cup. MLS needs to take 1-2 months off for those tournaments.

There aren't any great ideas given the US's weather and timing of international tournaments.

But still, would rather a regular season delay over playoffs. And they can't not play in summer. That's the big money months. Nice summer weather, why wouldn't soccer fans want to go for that? Families especially too.

Winter would be fine only if these teams played in retractable roof stadiums.

Speaking of retractable roofs...today would've been a nice day to have one. Gonna get messy in this game. So much rain, I hope we don't see some fluke things happening.

We're doing everything possible to blow this semifinal.

Edit: Great effort by the Red Bulls. They fell just short.

No Altidore or Giovanco for Game One of the East Final due to coming suspensions.

This game was messed up. Refs in this were horrible. The amount of weird calls all game long made no sense. Not to mention 2 TFC goals taken away because of a foul(when no real contact was even made) but then suddenly overruled to just be offside(despite not a real clear view showing that) and then saying a free kick goal didn't count because it happened too soon...

And on top of that, fight at halftime causing red cards. Then Giovinco suspended next game because of stupid yellow cards?! Altidore had it coming the way this series went, but Giovinco gone is gonna suck so much.

Don't know how true this one is, but reading comments online where apparently the ref apologized for messing up on one of the called back TFC goals....Ya, like they would've said that had NY won or if this went to overtime?

And sounds like TFC is trying to find footage of what actually happened at halftime to try and get Altidore cleared of the red card. His comments right after halftime basically said that NY players were on the TFC side, so if they were the ones who initiated whatever happened and/or they find footage that Altidore didn't do anything red card worthy, maybe he might not be suspended afterall.

Encouraging stats are that in both games vs Columbus this year, TFC didn't have Giovinco and they won both of those games. They also beat Columbus 5-0 in one game where both Giovinco/Altidore didn't even play.

Come on, you don't really believe Altidore was an innocent party in that tunnel scrum do you? He seems to be in the middle of every heated play on the pitch. Why would the tunnel be any different? Even if they reduced it from a red to a yellow that would be two yellows for the game and he would still be gone.

Um, would winning the Cup be a FU to their owner? Isn't that kind of what he wants (along with a new stadium)?

I'm not saying he's innocent or anything(I even said in my first post he had it coming), but I'm sure there is a reason they want this stuff reviewed fully knowing even if it's just a yellow, he's still suspended.

Though even if nothing did happen at halftime, he probably would've gotten a yellow in 2nd half. I was thinking that once the 1st half ended that this game is just building towards some kind of fight.

My biggest fear at halftime was actually that Bradley and Altidore would get a yellow card in the first game of the East final and therefore be suspended for the second game at home. Well, I guess I don't have to worry about that happening to Altidore now. LOL.

Bradley and Gio getting yellow cards for arguing with the ref is just dumb for veteran players. You could even see the ref saying that's enough to Bradley before the yellow and Moor was trying to push him away but Bradley just had to continue.

What he wants is to move to Austin. It would look really bad if they moved a year after winning the Cup and it might force MLS to actually do something.

I wanted TFC vs. NYCFC (wanted to see Atlanta originally) and Seattle vs. Portland, and I get neither. Haha. These playoffs have been crazy like they usually are. I was really hoping NYCFC would get that 3rd goal, but it just wasn't meant to be. They have PLENTY of chances, although Columbus had a couple really good chances as well.

Don't wanna compete with nfl, or at very least don't want to have instance where there could've been mls and NFL games in same stadium? The next game is following Wednesday and Thursday which sucks too. No weekend games for conference finals...
