Re: The 2013-14 EPL Discussion Thread
I highly doubt it, he's not like other managers.
When about 20 clubs wanted him, he refused to leave Mainz until his contract expired and has already said the same in Dortmund. He also doesn't care that much about money so you probably couln't lure him away from Dortmud with a bag of cash.
Of course, I could be wrong, but he's probably staying in Dortmund for a few more years. If he leaves, surely he'll join Barca.Khalabeeb - Tony Henderson

He got relegated with Mainz and stayed there for another year.
He'll definitely leave Dortmund when his contract is up, but not before then.Khalabeeb - Tony Henderson

Re: The 2013-14 EPL Discussion Thread
I see Europe being a big thing for players, but top managers being given the keys (if long-term) to one of the biggest clubs in the world and lay their mark on it? That's a fantastic challenge for them.
However this goes, I want to see one thing - attacking football. That's the ethos of the club.
Right now though, I'm excited to see Giggs take charge and get a preview of what he's learned throughout the years.Comment

Re: The 2013-14 EPL Discussion Thread
Personally, I'd like to see Moyes end up at Newcastle...one can hope.
Moyes didn't walk into a good situation at United, but he didn't exactly help himself either.
But then again, who didn't see this coming?
* You don't change the two most important people in an organization at the same time (SAF retiring after 27 years, CEO David Gil stepping down after a decade)
* You don't let SAF handpick his successor (how did that work out the last time ManU went down that path...I believe they got relegated and didn't see success again till SAF got there).
* SAF should've been grooming his successor (and considering there are three managers in the BPL that either played for him or served on his staff, the opportunity was there)
* You keep the most important staff on the job (Moyes comes in and bring in his own staff from Everton instead of keeping some of SAFs top assistants)
* You appoint someone who is big enough for the job (What has Moyes won exactly?)
* There is the "Manchester United Way" (Moyes tactics left lots to be desired)
* ManU needed to protect Moyes from the media (following a legend like SAF was going to be tricky enough, but Moyes was not the media mastermind that SAF was)
But while Manchester United has a reputation of letting managers have time to build their team, they realized that Moyes had lost the dressing room and lacked the long-term vision needed to take the club forward. So they made a decisive move to cut the rot. I thought it was brilliant to name Ryan Giggs the interim manager. He's adored by the fans, respected by the players, and is loved by the media. Curious to see what he does over these final four matches and curious if it'll be a four match dress rehearsal for a future job with ManU.Comment

Funny, because he's also won more trophies than liverpool from 2006 - 2012. Not to mention, we have won the PL four times since you guys last won it. Ah you hit my sensitive snare. Hope you take no offense by the way.
