Your "B" side is world class and worth more than the entire starting XI Liverpool trotted out (that's a guess). Playing that way, even a mid-table club would be fairly effective. One slip mind you, one uncharacteristic slip was the difference between a draw and a loss. Let's not act like Chelsea drubbed Liverpool in this case.

Undeserving of the title because Liverpool couldn't crack one of the best defensive minds in the league on one day? Real sound logic there KG, real sound.
    Yes, our "B' side.

(Stats from another site, 11 that faced Liverpool in Bold excluding Kalas)

    Goalkeeper: Cech (34); Schwarzer (1)
    Left Back: Azpilicueta (22); A.Cole (12); Bertrand (1)
Center Back: Terry (33); Cahill (28); David Luiz (9)
Right Back: Ivanovic (33); Azpilicueta (2)
Center Mid*: Ramires (27); Lampard (18); Matic (12); Mikel (9); David Luiz (6); Essien (2)
Left Wing: Hazard (31); Schürrle (3), Willian (1)
Attacking Mid: Oscar (21); Mata (7); Willian (3)
    Right Wing: Willian (13); Schürrle (9); Mata (4); Salah (3); Oscar (2); Ramires (2); De Bruyne (2)
    Center Forward: Eto'o (16); Torres (15); Ba (3); Schürrle (1)

Doesn't matter how much they cost or how good they are. Only 3 regulars started, Ivanovic/Azpi/Matic with Ivanovic & Azpi starting out of their normal place so that really only leaves Matic as the only regular and he's a Jan signee. So yes, our "B" side. They cost more at the time of purchase but they're not worth as much as Liverpool's players if both these 11's hit the open market. It was a flawed statement.

If a mid-table club could come into Anfield against a red-hot goal scoring machine club that was running everyone off the pitch in first halves and hold them to ZERO shots on target in the first 45 than tell me why no one else could do it or even tried to do it? Your manager couldn't come up with an alternate gameplan to break us down and it played right into our strength, forcing teams to go through the middle and/or resulting to sending in crosses.

You're undeserving because you leak goals like a bottom-half club. You didn't have to crack the best defense in the league. We needed the result but you guys pushed forward with reckless abandon and were very lucky that Ba's layoffs to Schurrle sucked and Kalas missed a point blank header. The goal was purely fluke but Chelsea created the best chances in the first half despite sitting back and inviting pressure.

It will be interesting to see how you guys fare next year in Europe when it comes to setup/tactics. I'd imagine you'll add depth but no way you guys play so wide open.

        Lol

Which managers in the league have a better defensive system than Jose? Which managers in the world even?

Getting sick of this "right way to play" and "anti-football" nonsense. If what Chelsea did was so easy then how have Liverpool won any games at all? Everybody should go watch Neville and Carra analyzing the game, Carra even says that Liverpool has used Chelsea's exact tactic many times in his Liverpool career and to great effect.

Also, can we stop comparing money spent on the respective squads as if it even remotely validates any body's argument? First of all, Salah, Ba, Willian, Oscar and Shirley were all Liverpool targets at some point, which means Liverpool is certainly not above spending boatloads of money. You guys spent 35 million on Andy Carroll. Secondly, I don't see how Liverpool fans hate Chelsea so much, we sold you freaking Sturridge. He's the ENTIRE reason you are even in the title race, and we gave him to you for pennies. Without Sturridge Liverpool probably loses nearly every game during Suarez's suspension and they are fighting for 8th again. You guys should be worshipping us for giving you the player that made you contenders again.
You read my statement wrong so I am not sure how to counter your argument...

We will stop talking about money spent when it becomes irrelevant to success.

Anyways, I just don't understand the seething rage Chelsea fans get from Pool fans considering we sold them one of their most important players.
Take away Sturridge? Well it's a good thing he played for us. What kind of point are you even trying to make with that? Can we take RVP off last years United team and make them give their trophy back? I like this world you live in.

If Liverpool did not deserve to be where they are, at this point in the season, they wouldn't be where they are on the table. Such a terrible argument when talking about deserving the title. A team with our play style will give up goals, just the way the game works, but to say a team is undeserving of a title because of the way they play is ludicrous.

That side you trotted out shall be referred to as 1b from here on out. When you spend as much money as Chelsea you lose the right to claim a "B" side.

Yeah because Liverpool keeps their money in their pockets. Only Arsenal fans can use that excuse but yeah you're right, don't judge a team by how they play.

That about ends the relegation drama potential for next Sunday. Happy trails to Cardiff and Fulham and barring a miracle, Norwich City as well. At least we have the potential at the top for some drama Sunday.

Having attended Fulham games fairly frequently between 2008-2011 it is amazing to me that they are being regulated. A few years ago it seemed like that would never happen.
