Things could get ugly for Milan today ... but at least those gold kits look damn good.

Ugh. Reminds me of the match against Juventus a few weeks back. Felt like they were in it, but they never really were. For some reason I see a red card in Balotelli's future tonight.

Apparently Arsenal should just request to play both legs at the Allianz next time

It's amazing how much better we are with eleven men.

Not gonna lie, when Kompany scored I thought **** was about to go down.

Also that ref was beyond atrocious. I doubt he even graduated clown school

The ref and the assistants were pathetic.

From this performance we can see clearly why Joleon Lescott is not first choice CB. He was appalling.

They have all that money sitting on the bench in backup attackers, yet they have to decide whether to start Martin Demichelis or Joleon Lescott at center back every match. It's comical.

And they went out and spent $50 mil on a 4th ST. Milner isnt the winger you want to start when you need to get a result. Chelsea made the blueprint for Barca, Bayern perfected it. Defend in banks, close down, be physical, and attack quickly on the counter. Then they go out and start Milner on the wing with an obviously not 100% Aguero. This Barca team isn't even playing well.

                    When do they fire Pellegrini?

Agree with everything except Barca not playing well, if the ref team wasn't incompetent Barca would have been up 4-0 in the first half

I meant their recent run of form. Valladolid and someone else got them in La Liga recently and tbh, they weren't impressive to me in the 1st leg.

                            um....no.

seriously...the United thing is one of the most bizarre, painful, and embarrassing things I have ever seen in my life as a sports observer...and I'm a Cubs fan, for crying out loud.

It's really not that dramatic or sad. It's not like they're in danger of being relegated. Moyes is just in over his head right now.

                                Perhaps, but things are relative...

to say it becomes significant only if relegation is a possibility is a little too much...

THe only thing more "surprising" than these performances would be if it was happening under SAF.

I think it is important...the team is a shambles, plain and simple. Missing the CL is going to mean a large drop in revenue. Sure, Liverpool has managed, but it is arguably harder to get ahead in the Prem nowadays, and I don't think Liverpool's ability to rebound will prove to be a trend.

Add to that the considerable tarnish the United brand is acquiring during this run, which will likely make it harder to lure top talent...though money will continue to talk loudly.

The most significant thing, imo, is the severe change in mentality of the players. It's difficult to believe the same players, or their rough equivalent, could lay such an egg, and do so consistently.

This whole thing has the makings of something awful. United...and probably Milan along with them...not looking good.
