Might aswell have West Ham representing the PL in the CL, god, what a boring game. Chelsea's parking the bus really annoys me.

Chelsea's dream would be to make it to 0-0 PKs at Stamford Bridge. ATM needs to score to save us from a ton of boring football.

If somehow we end up with a Chelsea/Bayern final, God help us all.

Enough with bicycle kick attempts, Atleti. Jeezus.

Knew I should have laid down some money on the 0-0 draw at 13/2.

Nice counter attack by Chelsea. They sent 2 whole players past the halfway line. Bold.

How dare Chelsea travel away to the most lethal counter - attacking side in Europe and force them to not counterattack?

Great defense does not = bad soccer

Obviously we should have taken a page out of Barca's book and gone to Madrid to play flowing att-- oh wait

People see the names and automatically expect Chelsea to take the game to Atletico. Never mind that Atletico has been the best team in La Liga, knocked Barca out in the quarters neutralizing their attack, beat Real in the Copa del Rey final last year and almost did the same this year in the semis. They've arguably been the 2nd best club in the world this year behind Bayern but Chelsea is supposed to go into the Vincente Calderon and boss the game without Hazard, Eto, & a cup-tied Salah & Matic.

Anyway, Torres played a very good game as did Cole & Mikel. True professionals that can sit out for long periods of time and come back in and not miss a beat. It's going to be tough without Cech, Terry, and Lampard for the 2nd leg but when our backs are against the wall we show up. I expect nothing less.

This. Atletico are basically Chelsea with a coked out offense. They are, more or less, the team Jose is trying to create, and they are absolutely deadly in the implementation of that system.

Without Hazard and Eto'o, I wasn't surprised Jose would go with safer tactics. At the end of the day, he's paid to win titles and while the game itself was ugly, 0-0 heading back home isn't a bad thing for him. He's going to get slammed, but if Chelsea make it through, then he's won.

Tomorrow though will be interesting. Pep's Bayern vs a Real Madrid with Bale and Ronaldo....

Atletico will likely do the exact same thing at the Bridge as well, there's hardly anything between these two teams.

Have a feeling it's going to be a 1-0 win for somebody off an unfortunate weird accident.

I remember Moaninho complaining after the West Ham game, calling it 19th century football. Funny though how now he played exactly like Big Sam did back then. Fielding your most defensive players and wasting as much time as possible. Mourinho's a joke. Not denying he's a great manager but why does he always have to bitch and moan?
