Man U equalizes on a pretty scrappy goal.

And there's two. Tasty 6th round matchup coming up in Arsenal/Man U.

And now a perfectly executed dive and penalty by Rooney seals the deal.

Arsenal are going to get Arsenal'd at OT, as is tradition.

I'm thinking an oppressive, dominating Arsenal performance for 85 minutes, RVP takes United's first and only shot of the game, way off target but it deflects off 3 people and goes in.

          United to win 1-0.

Can we talk about how dirty Fellaini is? I guess I don't understand why people don't seem to care anymore. He's always been a very dirty player, just a notch below Charlie Adam, but nobody ever talks about the ridiculous things he gets away with.

Didn't really do anything dirty that last match except that match winning goal.

Except the foul he committed on the defender that allowed him to score?

Unless we are measuring dirty play ONLY by intentional elbows thrown at opposing players. In which case yeah I guess Fellaini hasn't done anything dirty in quite some time, like 2 games.

Okay, so he gave a push (https://vt.tumblr.com/tumblr_njxhfjRum11qcs3bm.mp4). Ref didn't call it (if he saw it), and a lot of pushing and tugging usually happens in those situations. That's a decision for the ref and he didn't call it and no one really made a fuss about it.

Would you complain if Costa did the same?

Ehhh...that probably should have been called. It's not really dirty or anything, just a missed call. He didn't even really hide it, either. He just mugged the dude and they didn't call anything.

Now that their Sir Alex pixie dust has worn off, that's what Man U has to resort to in order to win these days. Blatant fouls and dives.

Preston North End were tough opposition. Didn't need such tactics to beat you guys though!

Yes it happens during corner kicks (and this wasn't even one) but usually when there's like four challenges going on. In this situation there was only one challenge going on and the ref was clearly watching it from afar. Not to mention it's usually subtle when it happens but Fellaini was clearly shoving the guy in the back with both hands. He's a dirty **** anyway, always throwing his elbows around, shoving people, etc.

I'm not defending what Fellaini did (though it didn't look like a hard push from that video). I'm saying that's a call for the ref to make and he didn't. Seriously, if one of your players did the same thing, would you bring it up and make a big deal out of it?

I seriously can't recall a time in past seasons' threads when Fellaini was still with Everton where anyone on here was calling him out. Guess it's the United effect!
