Re: The 2015-2016 EPL Discussion Thread
I can only see the highlights since I'm at work but Theo and Sanchez look all world against the ManU back line.
Sheesh.

Also I'm happy to see my boy Ayew (Andre) proving he can play in the Premier.
Waiting to see little brother in action since I've had a late start getting into the Premier this year.

Good news: United played football today.
Bad news: United waited 20 minutes and 3 goals before they played football.
Disappointing news: International break will prolong this feeling of loss.
Heartwarming news: I can laugh at Chelsea during this break.
I don't understand why LVG would pair Carrick and Basti up. Both lack pace and as we saw, got burned on the counter -- along with our shambolic defending. Didn't help that Basti would usually be too far up to help track back; Memphis, meanwhile, couldn't be bothered to help considering the dire situation. Schmidfield would have been better in the middle or if available, Carrick+Ander. At least Martial showed more of his promise.
Oh well. Onwards and upwards in 2 weeks.Comment

And for the second half Arsenal let United play. The vast majority of possession and chances were welcomed by Arsenal after feeling comfortable.
As for defending, I haven't seen a fullback play so awful since...well, Ivanovic yesterday.Comment

Re: The 2015-2016 EPL Discussion Thread
Very interesting.
United, Pool and Chelsea all seem to have the same problem actually (on offense, our problem on defense is that we aren't good). Lots of possession, far too slow, very little creativity, and relying on individual brilliance to put the ball in the net.
Martial looks the business though, will be interesting to see how LVG handles that. Imo that's maybe the second most important job LVG has before he leaves, making sure Martial doesn't get run into the ground like Liverpool did with Owen.Comment

Re: The 2015-2016 EPL Discussion Thread
Considering LVG's track record with young players, I don't think Martial will be in any danger of that. Still, this year's squad IS thin on depth so it's highly important when and where LVG rotates.Comment
